So, what's the deal here? They cause the problem and then try to blame the UK?

UK ambassador summoned to Iran as protests spread in the country and abroad

Iran's Foreign Ministry said Sunday it summoned Britain's ambassador to protest what it described as a hostile atmosphere created by London-based Farsi language media outlets. The move comes amid violent unrest in Iran triggered by the death of a young woman in police custody.

What are they, Republicans?

(OK, yeah, they got a MobSquad by that name, don't they?)

Iran is what the U.S. could end up looking like in just a few years.

....while some of the so-called (false) "Patriots" on this board cheer it on.

According to the Interior Ministry, some 200 people have died, with damages estimated at $40M... these figures are disputed by a humanitarian group monitoring the uprisings: they place the death toll closer to 470 protestors and 61 enforcers, with 18,000 arrests, seven of which have resulted in death sentences.
Iranian Attorney General Mohamed Jafar Montazeri, speaking Sunday at a religious conference, said the Gasht-e Ershad "had nothing to do with the judiciary and have been shut down." The Gasht-e-Ershad reported to Iran's Interior Ministry.

“The administration and parliament insisted that paying attention to the people’s demand that is mainly economic is the best way for achieving stability and confronting the riots,” lawmaker Nezamoddin Mousavi said Sunday following a meeting of top-level Iranian officials.

On Saturday, Montazeri said the hijab law would be reviewed and that recommendations could come in a week or two. President Ebrahim Raisi, who called for a crackdown on the hijab law in July, also showed signs of retreat.

It was a revolt that put the religious freaks in charge in the first place, they are not so stupid to not understand that the past can be repeated.

I was long time waiting for this to play out, somehow sure it eventually would.

(All the while I wouldn't say myself knowledgeable of the region enough to really judge.)

Why I was always saying it's bad idea to invade Iran, because only when Persia can shake off arab occupation themselves... yes, that's an somewhat extreme take. But the Islam should be reformed out of there.

It's not the "false patriots" who decided to hire and arm 87,000 new IRS agents.

Think about that the next time you decide to point the finger of blame over who is doing what to whom.

What if the Ayatollah's last name was Yusohh?
Maybe what they need is to import a few pillows from a certain pillow guy. That way maybe they'd get lots of "rest" instead of "unrest."
