Thanksgiving day parade, mimosas and breakfast. All my kids showed up(they are all grown so this is big).
This year we started a new tradition of decorating our Xmas tree so that is done. Now it’s time for Champagne till dinner lol
This year will be small but I’m still looking forward to having folks over.

Happy, happy turkey day for those that celebrate.
Today I think it is especially important to recognize and thank the indigenous communities whose land we live on. It is also a wonderful time to recognize the communities that support our farming and agricultural industries. If you’re interested check this out.

Are we doing a French Toast bake competition?? I do a pretty killer crème brûlée French toast bake and another with Grand Mariner caramel topping. I’m ready for a throw down!

My daughter did drive up from Eugene, so we're thankful for that.
So, I wrote a bit this morning among other things.

One of the Thanksgiving traditions we have involves the fact that my wife or whoever is hosting always seems to forget something.
So I get sent to whichever store is open to track it down.
This year, I got lucky.

So you got less lovely people to see, but an easier celebration.

I think forgetting is a big theme on big family dinners like this. Here with Xmas dinner... either remembering on the last minute or forgetting. Our Xmas table has quite a few dishes after all. (Peas are one thing that we often forget.)
