Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

We indeed don't have people driving like that 😂 then again we do have winter tires - and you only get the driving licence by practising winter driving too. The few scared drivers stay home in certain conditions.

Then again, ice on the road is worse than some snow, and people tend to underestimate that. "Black ice" is the worst, you can't see there's some of it in some places. Usually way before normal winter conditions are here - like in October, some spots going below freezing point. That's an accident (or many) waiting to happen.
No, not a turtle in sight! :D;)

Unfortunately some people forget they are not rally drivers, the roads aries not closed like in a rally, and they don't even have rally cars. (There's even a sadly humoristic song about that.)
I know. We have the same problem here.
I just thought it was a fun input since Finland is the second most successful country in Rally. 15 gold medals over the years. Only France have more and with the same driver. That's impressive I think.

You have the same kind of roads. Plenty of quiet, curvy gravel roads... And natural possibility of winter driving training too. People also still buy so called "field cars" for underage kids for the training on the countryside. Meaning cheap cars that probably wouldn't pass the inspections, and then somebody has that piece of unused field, where teens can train. One field, one car, and a bunch of kids learning to drive before they are old enough to get the licence. I guess it also works towards rally driving for some.
