Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

I’d pick it over the Midwest. Well…some things
It is where the job was - back before COVID changed up a lot of people's minds about working could be done remotely after all. :)
Summer still gets warm but not as hot as TX so there is that :)

I want to spend my summers up in the mountains where it’s nice and cool. There are no mountains near me now.
I'd just like the Great lakes Humidity (I think of it capitalized) to go away most summers. Toronto or Chicago at 90F is more unbearable than Texas or Florida at 120F.

Because I hear this takes forever now, I just uploaded my "Christmas Avatar"

Incase it takes a while, here it is:

I was expecting to be defending some of my "less mainstream" choices in seasonal music this weekend at the now cancelled family gathering.

"Santa Baby" ONLY by Eartha Kitt, because she made it clear what Santa was going to get if he delivered the goods.

"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" by Diana Krall because she implies a level of intimacy that borders on obscene with that smoky whisper.

"Christmas in NY" by the Pogues, because, well, because.

"O! Holy Night" by Cartman because while some may be offended, it is what kids see.

Any Christmas stuff by Jimmy Buffett. Not the greatest musician, but DAMN he knows how to have fun.

Brian Setzer, especially his grinding rockabilly version of "Santa Claus is Back In Town"

BB King, especially "Back Door Santa"

Tom Waits. No, not "A Christmas card from a Hooker in Minneapolis" (okay, that one too)...

But this one, which I consider a "Boxing Day Carol". A bar opening that day after Christmas. Its a "Torch Song, written for Piano and Fire Extinguisher"

"Warm Beer and Cold Women"

I had a weird Christmas music thread on Lit at one point. It may have been under one of my old user names. Modern Drunkard maybe. A little early though. Not even Thanksgiving yet.
