I completely understand... And I can say with all my heart, I would not wish her passing first on my worst enemy (no idea who that would be), and I felt exactly the same way - and would gladly do it again to save her from that pain. You sir, are awesome!!!

Then why do I feel like this?
I watched my mother die from a stroke when I was 17 and my father died when I was 18. Eleven months apart. From (acute emphysema and asthma & was a chain smoker while on oxygen. My only brother died 8 years ago of pulmonary fibrosis. And I have a stage 3 heart murmur caused by weakened aseptic heart valves. Because BOTH of my parents were smokers.

I have no answer, but we understand you have pain, and can say we all have pain here… each has their unique pain.

1954 was also the year of my soul mate’s birth. That will always be a magic number to me.

I've been busy running around doing VERY early holiday errands and massive kitchen work... cranberry orange infused vodka liquor (it'll be ready by Christmas) and boozey cherry chocolate upside down cake (from scratch), and now I'm baking off a pie pumpkin for pumpkin pie baking later.
