It's "Twitter Freedom Friday!"

It’s this place without tits. Boring
You're entitled to your opinion, but you're empirically wrong here.

there's plenty of tits on Twitter. Basic nudity and other adult content abounds, mostly behind adult content warning screens.

Sex workers on various levels drive a fair amount of their traffic. Fair to say "boring" is the least of what it is.

now, whether this liberal condition of prurient interest stays with the soon-to-be fuckboi in charge remains to be seen.

How many of these are the OP's and how many are MTG's?

‘We can say it now?’: Racists flood Twitter with the N-word after Elon Musk takes over

The tweet, in which Musk states that "the bird is freed," came after his acquisition of the social media platform was completed on Thursday for $44 billion

Musk's first order of business, according to media reports, was to fire CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Neg Segal, and policy head Vijaya Gadde. Twitter's leadership has often been accused of having a left-wing bias by conservative users.

Now it appears that some users are attempting to test the unfounded belief that Twitter has instantly transformed into an unregulated platform by quote tweeting Musk while using the N-word, and gay antisemitic slurs.

Many of the remarks came in response to comments from Stonetoss, a far-right and anti-semitic webcomic.

I mean really, if people really don't like to see that word (and hopefully but doubtfully most don't) then don't go on twitter. Let it be the next myspace or something.
That won't happen tho. People will still tweet and support a platform that doesn't give a rats ass what is right or wrong. People are stupid and piss me off.
I don't even get twitter or why it's popular. But then anything with the word "social" attached to it immediately scares me off cuz ewww. gross.

Seriously? Who's doing the searching?

Anyone who's going to use that word damn sure isn't going to have to be searching for it. No, it would be those that are looking for "gotcha" fodder that's going to be doing the searching.
How else would they find like-minded indivuals and groups? Never mind, you don't know because you're not on Twitter 🤷‍♂️

What are gay antisemitic slurs?

Haven't you noticed there's even a major righteous hot war against gay Jewish nazi niggers and comedians insultingly speaking language that's a mockery of correct Russian?

Yeah, everyone thinks that their tiny little corner of the internet is the top of the pops.

LOL... the modern news cycle:

A few hours ago, this account posted a joke, making up a fake TASS report about Lapin's body being in the Moskva River. Soon after, 24kanal reported the same information as factual. This may be their reporting "source" lol
The info stream went like this:
1) Pretty clear joke tweet from popular account
2) Joke tweet reported as fact by Ukrainian news channel
3) Aggregated around Ukrainian news
4) Popular Twitter people share their "scoop" without sourcing
5) Bad Western media find "scoop" tweets
Favorite comment:
It may be one of these reports where they just haven’t properly clarified that his body was found tomorrow

Said it before and I'll say it again. Unless you have multiple independent sources it's probably BS. Especially when dealing with warring parties.

Meh. Big bag of who gives a shit. never joined. Other people and their opinions don’t matter to me much.
Unfortunately they do. Perhaps not to you or me, but they matter.

It is rarely that I watch the news that someone, somewhere, isn't quoting/displaying a "tweet" that is used for the anchor point of the discussion. Even here on Lit. we are treated to "tweets" that are supposed to be meaningful. Hell, in the political realm it's not necessary to have signed up, you get bombarded with it anyway. In a sense it seems to have replaced the newsboy on the street yelling, "Extra, extra, read all about it" just compressed to a minute by minute time frame. All without context or any meaningful research. Like ole Winston Churchill said, "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."

It's not so much that they're lying (although some do), merely that the drive to sell information (advertising) trumps the responsibility to convey the whole story.

So here we are today. Twitter seems to be the "go to" platform for the media and the politicians to get their sound bites out ahead of the curve, and sound bites is the proper term.

Where is Musk going to take the platform? I don't think anyone truly knows.

They matter to the ignorant, uneducated and easily influenced…maybe. but if we’re being intellectually honest these tweets or posts don’t really change anyone’s mind that isn’t one of the above.

and even then, it didn’t really change their mind, it just reinforced their existing opinion.

people who are influenced by the constant barrage of lies want to believe because it fortifies what already exists in their tiny brains.

Don't be one of them.

The "progressives" assume that the know exactly who you are and what you think. And they're almost always wrong. Not because they're stupid, just that they have no real world experience outside the bubble. Don't think they're all stupid.

Isn’t this just good ole opiate of the masses stuff?

Eventually, there will be enough real time behavior tracking tools to predict, alter and exact a fee for everything we do.

China is the test run. Let's see how that works out.

WION (Indian news channel) are saying that Ellon Musk is doing massive staff cuts 'to save money'.

They're subtly portraying him as being another Jeoff Bezos copycat.
but WION aren't unbiased, because Bezos fired three Indian CEO's for being scammers (that they lied to him about Twitter's value, the fake bots)
Is Elon Musk firing the lowliest workers &increasing their workload Amazon warehouse style, or is he cutting redundant posts??

He'll have to keep the engineers and receptionist around for a while. Everyone else is expendable.

As long as a pretty girl can type and answer the phone, she’ll always be able to find a job.

Exactly.

Anyone that didn't float their resume' the day Musk made his tender are too stupid or unemployable to get out of there.. Their career obituary is being written as we speak.

Trumpies?

Talk about being stuck in a rut. Someone here needs a new political paradigm...

He's a real Bidenette.
