Paul Pelosi Assaulted - Suspect in Custody

The neighbor of Sen. Rand Paul who in 2017 attacked the Kentucky Republican during a dispute about their yards was sentenced Monday to an additional eight months in prison for the assault.

Rene Boucher must also serve six months in home confinement, U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Leitman said Monday. Boucher will receive credit for the 30 days in prison he has already served.

slap on wrist
Feel free to lobby for steeper sentencing.

It was a factual statement. You’ll get over it.
Of course it was factual. There can be no argument from me about that. But if you are unwilling or unable to be truthful about the motive or reason behind it and how you intended it, that's not on me, but you. Who was that movie character this reminds me of? Oh yeah, Grim WormTongue.

We should all just wait till the facts are established, makes no sense to speculate.
Good idea. Always wise to wait for the facts.

It might have been politically motivated or it might have been attempted robbery. They obviously are wealthy people with a nice house in a rich neighborhood. I’m sure there’s tons of valuable stuff there. And don’t forget that a couple years ago their freezer full of delicious ice cream got national attention.

Pretty cool that my comments remind you of movie characters.

Me thinks this could be prosecuted at the federal level.

If there's a determination that this was targeted somehow, then probably (I've seen reports to that effect, but not official word from the police). But if it's a random loon, then we might just get state charges of attempted murder, which is still pretty serious.

New reports indicate this was politically motivated. It follows a politically motivated shooting of Representative Steve Scalise, a physical assault on Senator Rand Paul, an assassination attempt on Justice Kavanaugh, and now what looks like an intended attack on Speaker Pelosi that resulted in serious injuries to her husband.

I never brought up Paul. Millions of americans are not confident that equal application of the law truly exist or that lady justice is truly blind. Two threads have been created and the usual suspects add to the vitriol and *LORD BEHOLD* Trump ends up in 'THE MIX' SAD!!
You were responding to a post about Paul.

Please tell me how the law hasn't been equally applied here.

It does appear the attacker is a QAnon wacko, and QAnon is openly pro-violence against Democrats. So the dots are connecting.

That really doesn't factor in. The attack on Rand Paul was not politically motived. It was a pissed off neighbor with no impulse control. The others you mentioned were.

A couple of reports say 42-year-old Depape, of Berkeley, has previously made news for taking part in nude anti-war protests in the Castro neighborhood.

Earlier accounts of the incident suggested bad blood between the neighbors, who have known each other for roughly 17 years, including a dispute over a property line and possible distaste for Paul's politics, as well as those of his father, former Texas Rep. Ron Paul.

However, federal prosecutors on Friday said Boucher admitted the assault but denied it was politically motivated. Boucher's lawyer also denied previously that politics had anything to go with the fight.

of course the criminal would say it wasnt politics
Since the Rand Paul attacker denied his action was politically motivated (even though there was a history arguments), I won’t quibble with Comshaw’s point. The shooting of Steve Scalise, the attempted murder of Brett Kavanaugh, and the attack at the Pelosi residence are bad enough. Politically motivated violence is a bad thing regardless of the victim’s party affiliation or job-related actions.

Sounds like you should lobby for different laws. Good luck!

not one of you give a shit a asshole criminal Pelosi

you are just using it as a way to somehow tie it to Trump and or an R!
You care about the victims, obviously...which is why you're completely focused on how we're reacting 👍

The suspect who attacked Paul Pelosi was booked on various charges, including attempted homicide, elder abuse, assault with a deadly weapon, “and several other additional felonies,” Scott said.
The suspect took the hammer away from Pelosi and “violently assaulted” Pelosi, according to Scott. Officers then immediately tackled the suspect, disarmed him and took him into custody.

Mr DePape’s social media profiles reportedly included conspiracy theories surrounding the 2020 presidential election, the 6 January, 2021 attack on the US Capitol and Covid-19, according to since-removed profiles reviewed by CNN and The Wall Street Journal.
Public posts reviewed by CNN and confirmed as authentic by Mr DePape’s family include videos produced by MyPillow CEO and prominent election conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell, who continues to baselessly allege widespread fraud had manipulated the outcome of the 2020 election.
Other posts included transphobic images, false claims that Covid vaccines are deadly, and content surrounding sprawling conspiracy theories involving “global elites” allegedly corrupting and controlling the population.

David Depape's Facebook page featured videos of My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell peddling false claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from former President Donald Trump, according to reports.
Sounds as if it was politically motivated.

Just a guess.

If you believe some rando made it through Nancy Pelosi’s estate security, you probably still believe Jussie Smollett too.
Now you've moved onto false flag?

Dude....stop with the mushrooms
