Nudist Camps

We are home nudists and I have been to nude beaches back in my younger days when I was large, but not nearly as big as I now. I am wondering what people at nudist camps think about women (or men) as big as my wife and I. We are both SSBBWs, 380 and 420 pounds.

We've been to a lot of nudist camps, and are currently at our vacation home inside of one. From what we have seen they are pretty much cum one, cum all as we have seen all sizes, shapes and ages in our travels.

I don't see your weight as a problem. As Old Fred said, there is a huge range of body types, and people are used to taking them in stride. If you and your wife are happy with who you are, that's all that matters.

They are thinking other things too but if I am going to be that honest it will bring on the scolders who will say I'm just being mean.

BTW, if you are really as big as you claim and secure with yourself and your size, why not just post a picture of the two of you so we can give a more informed opinion of what people might say?

I would ignore this post entirely.

as a long term member of a couple of nudist groups, they don't judge. it is an open and accepting environment. we don't go to beaches that allow nudism to avoid the folks who believe they have a right to judge others and voice it. find a nice long time established club, you'll love the experience

In fairness, my experience of nudists is that they are far more body tolerant than the fabric community. Yes, there will be people who are judgemental (you can't escape that) but in the main there will be far fewer within the naturist community.

Everybody has body hangups, we all see things wrong or we don't like, but naturism is about saying "ok, I know my body isn't perfect but I'm happy with it".

I was raised a nudist and our family spend many weekends during the summer at a camp in NJ during the 60's and 70's. Yes, being raised in that lifestyle will make you more accepting of others since you see almost every body type imaginable but it does not change the natural human tendency to judge others, regardless of how you may or may not react to seeing someone. We all judge. But most people at nudist camps and resorts will not comment about how someone looks. Mostly because most of us aren't models and have our fair share of flaws and inadequacies. But while they may not comment, they will judge....in silence.

SO, since the question posed was about what people would THINK, not would someone comment, what is your problem with my answer? It was honest and it answered her question truthfully. You seem to want to make her feel better about her enormous body. That's not what she asked for.

And anyway, since she(?) never posts a picture of herself, I doubt she is who she claims to be anyway, so none of this really matters.

I mean, I've never been lucky enough to visit a Nudist Camp, but if I knew there were women that looked like y'all I would rush to be there!

....because you don't ever see naked women and any women who is naked will be worth the effort to see?

Me and my ex husband went to a nudist camp once after being invited by a couple of friends, I was used to going to nudist beaches on holiday so it was nothing new. I don't think your size or shape should be anything to worry about and if you are happy with yourselves then I would not be worried about what other people think. None of us are perfect and as long as you are happy then I would go for it.

Nothing to Worry About

People at most reputable nudist resorts don't care much about how people look. We used to visit a resort in Tennessee that had three generations of nudists from one family attend together. No one cares about age or looks.

We are in our early 60s and are also, mostly, home nudists these days. Once the weather warms up a little and traveling becomes easier, we'll be back out at the resorts and beaches.

We haven’t found any around us, but we get together with a few couples and just go nude camping on a friends property, he has a very large tract of land.

People come in all sorts of sizes and shapes.

Like anywhere else, it depends on what people are there. Overall, everyone has trepidation when going to an area that is designated for nudists. It is akin to any situation that is the "big unknown". In just about all cases, from readings spanning several decades back, the basic statement is, "It goes away within five minutes."

I have seen newborns to people in their 90s, and family groups ranging the same. Nothing different than what a crowd would be at the street corners at intersections in the middle of a major city. (I have seen over a million people at one time from the fourth floor of Carson Pirie Scott at the corner of Madison and State in Chicago at weekday lunchtime. Year ago.) There is no real distincton, other than clothes.

It is what you do and feel that counts to you. I am willing to bet that once you are talking with some of the "oldsters", you will forget that you are naked. This is not to say that someone may look askance. If they do, it is for their personal shortcoming.
