What's interesting is that a good friend told me they thought the story was a scam. That person was afraid to state their concerns openly for fear of being attacked. The person that was willing to openly state their concerns, which have been vindicated, was attacked and reported for their post.

Lesson for all of us, take a breath in tough situations and breath. Open your mind and let information replace emotions. The emotional response is often not logical and it often prevents people with facts or logic from participating...just look at Twitter to see the ultimate example of that. And when we silence disenting voices, we often silence the truth.

This! I am very grateful to Pmann for making this thread. It certainly helped me to deal with all this bullshit and thanks to some of the people on this thread who pointed out things about that asshole (Bri) that I would have never known. So yeah... kudos to Pmann.

A lot of people feel played and deceived by B/J.
One possible way to turn that anger into a little good could be to get together and fundraise a donation to a Jersey animal sanctuary. A quick Google search shows there are plenty.
I'm sure a way could be found to do that openly honestly and jointly. I'm not tech savvy enough to organise, but think it would help people feel better about the whole episode.

Have to start by defining what we mean by Alt accounts. I mean, like, active alts at the same time? Because there are probably a LOT of inactive users (wonder what %?)...plus not all users post on forums, by a long shot...plus there are things like, I know I set up an account about a decade ago, no idea what the username was, and I only read stories...is that the kind of thing one would want to count, or no?

(Not that we can really know any of these things, but, hey, I like data.)
