thanks for that useful link. What with covid etc it has been a LONG time since I last rented a car. Can hardly remember when I did tbh.
I am planning to buy a new external battery travel charger... I suppose it would work to recharge the battery charger using a car plug in? I have a large emergency battery pack that also will jump my battery that can be recharged once used via a car plug in (cigarette lighter or usb)

Also, you can buy those battery packs that you can plug the usb end of your phone cable and the battery will provide you with plenty of juice. Get like 4 of them and charge them all up before you go. You could EVEN charge the battery pack in the car but I wouldn’t run my phone off the battery pack if it’s being charged by the car atm. Hope this helps. But I’ll be happy if the post even managed to make sense
