Mar-A-Lago raided by FBI

What I expect is equal justice under the law, nothing more and nothing less. Every president will be handcuffed and will find it impossible to execute the oath of office for fear some rogue DOJ at a later date will charge a president for a crime by some future criminal justice system for a personal conversation . It’s gotten to the point that classified confidential conversations could someday bite a president in the ass. The president needs an outlet, a sounding board.

How the fuck are you still fucking up quotes?

Talk from who/where? How many sources corroborated?

The reason I say gullible is that you seem to believe it. The subpoena is known. There was discussion that we didn't know about before the subpoena so it stands to reckon there was after the subpoena
The Trump team was cooperating with the FBI. Until the narrative on the affidavit is made public I don’t believe anything the DOJ says.

As when Bill Clinton met up with Loretta Lynch. Republicans were screaming for an investigation of the former President over that personal conversation.
Former President, which is what Trump was when he delivered pallets of documents to Mar-A-Lago.

If they were cooperating, there wouldn't be the need for this action. Trump's entire legal strategy is not to cooperate with anyone.

Hillary was being investigated and Bill meets with the AG, conflict of judicial prudence

Now that the DOJ has unsealed the search warrant...making it free to anyone that wants to see exactly what papers they are searching for...and showing names of multiple people from within Trump's circle swearing on oath that Trump has the papers...all Republicans have to do is turn over the papers. Lol.

More speculation, your TDS is reaching KeithD and Butters levels. Again, until the narrative on the affidavit that was presented to the magistrate is made public I don’t believe anything the DOJ does is justified.

they've filed to unseal... it may take several weeks, though it's hoped to be shorter

the ONLY reason t is holding back the copy of the warrant and receipt of items removed is because it serves him to do so: in a vacuum of information, speculation and conspiracy runs rife... by t not showing the truth, it serves to develop mistrust and anti-gov't/fbi/doj sentiment while, at the same time, permitting wilder speculation from the left which, if not borne out, will make trump look persecuted.

If that’s the case the DOJ could have initiated another court ordered subpoena.

the application for the warrant will not be unsealed; it hasn't been ordered to be unsealed or requested by relevant authorities. the filing is for the actual warrant and inventory of goods/documents removed... both of which trump/his lawyer have in their possession.

so you whingeing about 'the narrative of the affidavit' is irrelevant to this discussion. you could try holding your breath until it's released but it may make you turn a funny shade

why would they? this has been rolling on for 18 months...trump has failed to comply with the requests and subpoenas, both; if the material is so sensitive or potentially putting this country at risk, it belongs where it belongs and cannot be in the hands of someone who might remove it, destroy it, allow foreign agencies access to it and, generally, not be trusted to keep it safe.

there is no application for the affidavit to be unsealed; affidavits are typically revealed when the person/s searched are actually indicted.. then they're given copies.

The warrant itself is completely inconsequential. What makes the case is what reason was given to the magistrate in the form of an affidavit to justify this type of warrant to search the premis of a former president. Short of having the nuclear launch codes there is no justification. The records act has never been a reason for prosecution that I know of. There are no criminal charges filed. This is, in my opinion, a fishing expedition hoping to find evidence that would tie into J/6. The scope of the warrant was so intrusive it stands to reason that this search has an alternative agenda. It boils down to one investigation working in concert with another. The magistrate is compromised, should have recused himself and sent the request to a federal judge.

it doesn't matter what you think, or what i think for that matter.

you'll get your wish to see the affidavit if trump gets indicted and chooses to release it.

as of now, Trump’s counsel has until 3 p.m. ET Friday to accept the DOJ’s request for the warrant to be publicized. Given the generalised nature of whatever information there is released, we'll not be much the wiser, though the attachment to the warrant will be more enlightening since it should list the statutes believed to have been violated.

Because of past fraudulent applications for FISA warrants by the FBI this magistrate is way over his pay grade. What if exculpatory evidence was not included in the application like the Trump team did cooperate with the records department.
