from what i understand, it was issued back in June.. some of the requested boxes of material were returned but not what appears to be so important (to national security) that it required this unannounced search warrant to retrieve... this kind of warrant issued in cases where they expect non-compliance, destruction and/or removal of said material before it can be retrieved.

so for all the republican bleating about 'they should have subpoenaed trump for stuff', they did!

The talk is there was no correspondence as of June 3rd or the 5th till now between the FBI and the Trump people. The last communication from the FBI was to insure the locking mechanism was in place June 5th, nothing about another subpoena.

Garland didn’t clear anything up. Trump’s legal team needs to release the warrant, inventory and most importantly the narrative on the affidavit.

i don't know if it'll be the same judge who signed the warrant... who is the same judge who ordered the DOJ to file to unseal... but according to various sources it can take anything from days to months but is most likely to be weeks, allowing time for the material to be trawled through and redacted where appropriate, and the protection of national security relevant papers.

You might want to take a moment to think about this little raid at Trumps. Maybe just maybe, since the FBI have already been there in June and knew there were documents still in his possession, that maybe the Nation Records people got sick and tired of waiting on Trump to return the items he still posses and was not supposed to.

I can't think of a faster way to get something back from a stubborn 76 year old toddler, than just going and taking it away. There is a possibility that now, that the records are out of his hands, nothing further will come of this....though I think that possibility is slim, infinitesimal perhaps, but it exists none the less.

Oh Trump isn't President now, and from what I have read, he didn't declassify a whole lot.....and even if he did, that still does not imply he "owns" those documents.....why do I have to educate Americans on their own fucking laws....why oh why???????
