Now Trump's lawyer is claiming that the FBI "planted" the evidence. You know if Trump has any kind of security at all, there are cameras all over that place. Surely, at least ONE of those cameras captured shots of the FBI agents wheeling IN boxes and boxes of files. Trump can exonerate himself on all the ten O'clock news programs -- just release the footage. Unless, of course, he has something to hide!

Declassification is a multistep paper trail process. It isn't a president just waving a wand. Of course Trump didn't go through that process with anything. His false view of declassification involved stopping up the plumbing.

Seriously my favorite take of the day has been "if they come after 45, they'll come after you" talking about the FBI and IRS.

I like the response - "if you just do what they tell you should do, you'll be fine"

But truly, if you break the law or fail to pay your taxes, they will come after you because you did those things. The problem is when they don't come after the people higher up, but still come after you.
