For years I've been listening to politicians run on the premise of "working across the aisle" but once in office that all changes.

Being a member of congress is a lucrative endeavor, most retire as multi-millionaires and spend most of their time campaigning to get re-elected. If you limit their time in office maybe just maybe they'll spend more time doing the people's business INSTEAD OF CONCENTRATING ON SELF PRESERVATION. Party loyalty is so out of control that the majority can rule over the minority and pass any legislation while ignoring the other half of the country.

I like when I suggest streamlining the tax code some equate the suggesting to I don't want to pay taxes or I want to abolish the IRS.

You can question the timing but you can’t question trump had illegally held classified documents that he was told to return a couple of years ago. The wheels of justice and all.

It's always hard to know when these people are sincerely mad and when they're just squawking in an attempt to scare authorities into backing off, but I marvel at the insistence that this raid (the FBI famously being packed with radiclibs and run by Trump's own appointee) was carried out on a pure political whim about a very minor matter. While anyone is entitled to a presumption of innocence, the standard to get such an action approved had to be unbelievably high.

He's within his rights to not release the warrant, but if he chooses not to, people have the right to be skeptical about the charge that the raid had to be illegitimate.




Who could forget Sandy Berger; I think AJ mentioned him more over the years than the members of his family. A difference between that case and this one, aside from the fact that Berger was punished and nothing has yet happened to Trump despite his long track record of destroying presidential records, is that Berger returned everything he had taken so there was never any need to raid his residence.

Trump is certainly within his rights to not release the warrant but more transparency would reduce the speculation.

We don’t know at this point what exactly the FBI was looking for or if they found any classified documents. We also do not know what was in the boxes at Mar a Lago reported on earlier this year, or even who packed the boxes and sent them to Florida. One news report says the GSA boxes and mailed them. News reports mention letters to Trump from Obama and Kim Jong un. Not confirmed and no details on content. Trump’s statement yesterday claims he has been cooperating fully with the FBI. Nobody knows.

Point being there is lots of hopeful speculation in the media but nothing from the DOJ. Doubtful the DOJ will release anything but Trump can and should.

The biggest mistake that Trump made was not cleaning house at the DOJ and FBI before doing to Hillary what they're doing to him now. He failed to drain the Swamp and now the Swamp Creatures are coming for him in Fascistic terror manner.

87,000 new IRS agents are now going to Lois Lerner Middle America. I am glad that I am retired but I fear that my retirement savings may be the next target.

I can't stand Meghan McCain but every now and then she gets it right.... However this goes down, it's inflamed the Republican base, and it'll simply galvanize support for Trump for 2024. It's pretty obvious this is aimed at stopping Trump from running in 2024, and that politicization of the FBI and DOJ over a minor matter should be a warning to everyone.

As has been pointed out, Killary wiped 25,000 emails that had been subpoenaed and crickets. This is yet another example of a blatantly two-sided judicial system and if this keeps up, it's going to destroy the USA. Which is of course what the Democrats are out to do, but we all know that....

What was done Monday sails America into uncharted waters. The FBI is forcing us all to question them and, by recourse, defend Trump. And I really don't want to because, quite frankly, I hate the man. I believe he and his disciples are an existential threat to both America and the Republican party. Unfortunately, right now, the bar is set extremely high for the FBI. They must justify raiding an ex-president's home. If they don't have the goods, if they haven't absolutely nailed it, they have made one of the most disastrous mistakes of all time.

What many on the right are really miffed about is that statutes rarely prosecuted are often used against Trump or Trump surrogates or are indicted on process. Waters should have been prosecuted for jury tampering and inciting violence, Schumer threatening justices, Hillary violating classified material handling and yet nothing.
