This isn’t necessarily true Anja. I can only speak of what I’ve seen first hand in court (my bf gets into a lot of mischief) but the judges are always fair. Unless someone acts like a turd during the proceedings.

I wish that’s how everyone acted … there’s no reason to act like a turd.. being rude or yelling. You can get your point across more effectively if you are polite and calm.

If someone is wronged (getting an order wrong or getting a drink spilled on them.. or the victim of a car accident).. if the victim is rude and mean.. it instantly puts me off and doesn’t make me want to side with them.

An example… a coworker’s daughter (new driver) .. backed out into traffic cuz she didn’t see an oncoming car and hit someone. Now they were all going very low speeds and no one was hurt.., but a bystander who witnessed it started yelling at her and berating her for being a bad driver. Like.. get fucked dude.. it’s called an accident. No one was hurt.. just get lost.
