Mar-A-Lago raided by FBI

It's throwing the baby out with the bad water, it falls hardest on the good legislators and it allows the incompetent and the scruple challenged and ambitious a fast-track to the top because they have to keep seeking the next job seeing how politics as devolved from citizens serving then leaving to a lifetime career-track.
With such a political divide your argument doesn’t work anymore, at least in my opinion. Need to steer our politicians back to their constituency and not party loyalty. A 740 billion dollar bill was passed in the senate by a one vote tie breaker. We need new blood and people who are willing to work with each other. If you can’t effect change in 12 years then get the fuck out of the way.

AJ and Klanguide are FUMING right about now.

Tomorrow AJ (Libertarian) is going to shitpost like a madman.

How many threads will he make and how many times will he mention hillary or hunter before 6 am?
AJ is in full anaphylactic shock. It's fuckin' glorious.

Good luck on your expectations.
I "expect" nothing from the political class. No politician of either party will willingly cede the ability to control the populace or punish their opposition.

For years I've been listening to politicians run on the premise of "working across the aisle" but once in office that all changes.

Or, another take - people disagree with you.

Mate, we Europeans can spot a fascist a mile off. We invented them. Trump and his ilk are fascists. At least have the balls to accept who and what you are.
Trump would like to rule as a fascist dictator, but Americans are too individualistic for that.

Weaponizing the FBI is going to turn out well, they won't turn on the Bidens and Clintons though!!!

No one was more responsible for Trump getting elected than the former head of the FBI, but please continue.

None of this is a coincidence, and none of it is justified. Even if Trump was in possession of some documents that needed to be archived, that is the kind of thing that has historically been dealt with in court, not with an FBI raid, and the former president was fully cooperating to this point.

I suspect this isn't true and was the reason for this raid.

Man, a lot of people who have been very pious about "Back the Blue" have sure been making a lot of anti-law enforcement comments in this thread. It's 1/6/21 all over again. Who doesn't love a reunion?

My cousin, by marriage, pisted this gem on the Book of Faces. I'm pretty sure she posts here. "They raid Trump but not Hillary or Hunter.what’s going on"

What is going on is that Trump is a lot worse than Hunter, and there is nothing wrong with Hillary at all. What is going on is that Trump is loathsome, we hate him, and we are going to make him suffer.

Lots of speculation about what the search means. Trump is entitled to a copy of the search warrant and his lawyers undoubtedly are in possession of it. He should release it to the public immediately.

Frankly, this was the world's most easiest call, but you did call it. Homeboy ran down every last deflection talking point from A to Z.

fair's fair.

:ROFLMAO:

Since everyone else is speculating on what the search means, I’ll offer a clue that might be relevant. Media reports indicate the DOJ is investigating a potential Federal Records Act violation.

Upon reading that, I recalled former Clinton National Security Advisor Sandy Berger. He was convicted of removing classified records from the National Archives reading room prior to testifying before Congress and lying to the FBI about it. He pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charges in 2005 and was sentenced to 2 years probation, 100 hours of community service and a $50K fine

Berger took five documents. Trump took at least fifteen file boxes.

Hillary herself was responsible for Trump being elected, she was a lousy overconfident candidate.

It's the FBI doing their best to make sure Trump's re-elected.They're going to keep on pulling shit like this in an attempt to stop him running in 2024 and that's all it is. And you know what, he'll win in 2024, and at this point, more and more people are begiining to see that the FBI and the DOJ have gone rogue, and need to be shut down. Completely. They're now a threat to the Republic.

You can question the timing but you can’t question trump had illegally held classified documents that he was told to return a couple of years ago. The wheels of justice and all.

Following the evidence is weaponizing. Got it.

Similarly this latest Lois-Lerner-style supersizing and weaponization of the IRS is goin to turn out well
as they target Conservative businesses and political organizations for endless harassment...

Clearing backlogs is weaponizing the IRS. Got it.

This is the one-party rule that the Left has been lusting for for generations.
Of course, one strong party-controlled central government...

Did the trump admin shenanigans go completely over your head?

Based on your post count and tone in this thread, this unprecedented FBI raid (due to trump having done unprecedented things) has your panties in quite the wad!

Yes, would be nice if things could return to the Tip O’Neill days where fist shaking and shouting and battle was done during session, then they all had drinks at cocktail hour. Dems and rebups were adversaries, not enemies.

He's within his rights to not release the warrant, but if he chooses not to, people have the right to be skeptical about the charge that the raid had to be illegitimate.

Who could forget Sandy Berger; I think AJ mentioned him more over the years than the members of his family. A difference between that case and this one, aside from the fact that Berger was punished and nothing has yet happened to Trump despite his long track record of destroying presidential records, is that Berger returned everything he had taken so there was never any need to raid his residence.
