What is it about shopping for new outfit or shoes?
Like last night. I was watching undercover boss. Cause I’m all exciting like that. Girl gets lotta money from the boss. What’s she say

Oh I’ve been eyeing some heels. Thinking I may get them now.


Hell if I got big bucks from a boss. Sure as hell ain’t going shopping for clothes or shower. Invest or go on trip? Sure

That cardigan costs more than the skirt and the shirt together. It's made in Sweden and good quality.

Hate getting loaded, and when I'm tired I get really sensitive to background noise. Even just being in a big city could be too much. Well in a good, well sound-proofed hotel it would be ok, but I'm not going just to stay in a hotel room. Even one museum per day and finding where to eat sounds exhausting now.

And I actually already canceled. Might even splurge on some clothes with the same amount that just 2 days in that hotel would have cost me.

We are wired very different.
I don't necessarily enjoy shopping - it's mostly frustrating, takes a lot of time and may yet not yield any results - but I love dressing well.

well for me, I was never one for clothes shopping outside of lingerie until I started living more straight laced and buttoned up. Basically, I traded taking a new guy for a spin into taking a new outfit for a spin. Hubby seems to prefer it and complains less that way. Big money, I'd maybe take a trip but most likely just pay bills like a responsible adult (sigh)

I can enjoy pretty clothes even when I am exhausted, unlike the trip, and I need some clothes anyway. In some other situation I would choose the trip. And if I got big bucks from the boss (never happened) I might do BOTH a trip, shopping and make an investment that brings me money (or make an extra loan payment).

For the most part I am not shopping much in terms of quantity. There are years when I buy nothing more than some underwear to replace old ones.

I’m a musician, but somewhere along the way pop music just turned into something completely unpalatable to me. I have missed out entire careers of bands that I probably would have liked if I had heard them. But for me, wading through the trash to find the gems just wasn’t worth it.

You are sooooo right. Music-wise, I haven't heard anything good since The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

I think one of the main signs of aging is disliking recent music and when driving, turning down the stereo to see better. We all get there eventually I think.

I am old but still have to seek out and find nee music. I hate most of what is on radio but there is still a lot of great fucking music being made.

well hating everything on the radio is edging there, but once you find yourself turning down the stereo to see better, you are officially old. I can't talk. 90% of my playlist is 90/00s alternative, rock, or industrial. My music tastes mostly got stuck at like 25.

yup. like I had the most exposure at that age, then when I stopped going to clubs and concerts, hanging with musicians and such, my music tastes stopped there too. oops.

I will never get the humiliation thing. I wanted to give it a shot though once, being on the other side. This guy was advertising on craigslist for free housecleaning while the woman of the house berated and insulted him and such. I totally thought I could so do that for someone to clean my house, but hubby would not let me. Bastard. lol.
