Yes, as Nat says, partly it’s poor selection… then there’s the Social Anxiety!! 😂 I’d debate me having my shit together, too 🤣
oh, I bet the anxiety is playing a big part. Honestly, I don't know how the single world would work today. it would be confusing. I've never really been like completely single...I just don't really do attached quite correctly either.

and you appear to have your shit together. faking it is half the battle.

haha. my dog always sounded like a big meanie. Oh she is so tough until someone actually opens the front door without us, then she runs and hides behind us. I know who will not be protecting me lol
I have an 80 pound pit bull and she is terrified of everything. People who don’t know dogs get scared of her all the time. No reason to be.

I was in the yard with my dog today when a group of people walked by with a dog... my dog doesn't like other dogs on her turf, so she barked a little bit. She was honestly not barking that much, and mostly paying attention to me when I said, look at me. If they had just kept walking, it would have been fine.

But of course not. The older gentleman with the group started asking if he should come pet her, if that would help her calm down. (No, sir, if you stop staring at her she'll calm down) When I said she was fine, he mutters something about out of control dogs and finally walked away

What, like his mere presence will bring peace to the animal? Did he thing he’s f-ing Ghandi or something? People amaze me at how dumb we can be.
I know, right? It's especially infuriating how dumb people can be about their own or other people's dogs... at least he *asked* if he should come pet her instead of charging over the grass to her

lol. dogs...a way to meet people that you didn't want to meet. my dogs have never really gotten out much. I am a slack dog owner I guess. When you have a lot of space, it becomes easy to just let them roam, as long as they respect the fences. especially once adding the kid. so my dogs have never really seen a ton of outsiders. they usually don't mind visitors I've greeted but people who just walk on the property, especially in the front door weirds them out.

I would have muttered back about out of control senior citizens needing a leash 😇

People amaze me how they don’t know pets.
Years ago a gf at the time wanted to adopt a dog. So we go and check out a few. The lady that had the dogs tells me.. this one doesn’t like guys at all. we start walking around the park. We all stopped to talk. The dog walks over to me. Flops on his back for belly rubs.
Yeah doesn’t like guys.
