Russia helped Europe get rid of Napoleon, Hitler and the Ottoman Empire

Speaking of history lessons, I take it you aren't aware that Hitler died four months before Hiroshima and Nagaski were bombed.

And Mayfly: Do not forget that USSR waited until 9th August 1945 before they declared war on Japan. This was after both Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They then continued the war after the Japanese had surrendered, purely so that they could steal territory from them.

Neither the USSR nor Russia has ever made any attempt to make a peace treaty with Japan because they would have to give the Northern Territories back.

Don't forget, Japan was an ally in WW1, and the Americans, Brits and others fought for the White Russians after the Russian Revolution.

Wait...so you mean to tell me that we were once allied with Russia on some things?

Well shit... obviously this completely changes everything and they should be allowed to do whatever they want in Ukraine!! ¯\(°_o)/¯

I was just thinking about it wrong. I still don't support the Roman occupation of Egypt though.

Mayfly’s History of the 20th Century, by Ken Kesey.
lol no, I'm History illiterate, I didn't even know who fought who during ww2.
That was merely a clumsy paraphrase of a public intellectual to whom I was just listening to.

I just want a less SIMPLISTIC & more HONEST portrayal of
- both the Ukraine-Russia-America conflict,
and of the world war 2, which is peripherally related to it.

I'm not condoning Russia's war crimes in Ukraine, nor their actions during and after ww2
but most laypeople are fed up with the narrative "American-British-proxies or allies shits smell like roses" -- "anyone else's smells like dog poo".

some good& informative comments there from ishtat, keithd and ogg,
even if biased towards their side
many thanks

You’re referring to Russia and not Hitler, right?
I used Hitler as a semi-metaphor, to personify the German& Imperialism of that time.

btw
I'm also fascinated by how clever American psychological techniques of the Bernay school were after World War 2.
how they protected German laypeople from everybody's wrath by putting everything solely on Hitler&a select close circle.
Was it because of altruism and wisdom? Or because they merely wanted people to change focus on America's new enemy? the Soviets and the Cold war

whom Americans subsidised heavily with weapons, during the first part of the war
and defeated during the second, by blowing up Nagasaki and Hiroshima
You are a liar. The US government did not send weapons to Hitler in WWII. We armed the Russians.

The time when The British Empire smelled its worst was during the Opium war, which gave us Hong Kong.

Cars, trucks, armoured vehicles. The US government didn't stop FORD, and Ford Europe was wholly owned by Detroit.
Yes, the Democrat President didn't stop them. The regulatory authority of the US government for overseas operations was probably very limited in those days. These were German subsidiaries of the parent corporation. A quick Google search found this which is probably closer to the real truth:

"Ford spokesman John Spellich defended the company's decision to maintain business ties with Nazi Germany because the U.S. government did not cut diplomatic relations with Berlin until Washington declared war on Germany in December 1941, the Post said. That declaration made it illegal for U.S. firms to have any contacts with their subsidaries in Germany.

Spellich said the Schneider report mischaracterized the activities of the U.S. parent and noted that managers at Ford's headquarters were frequently kept in the dark by their German subordinates over events at its German plant in Cologne."

GM spokesman John Mueller told the Post that General Motors lost day-to-day control over its German plants in September 1939 and "did not assist the Nazis in any way during World War II."

Be advised: Wiki is a left-wing biased source. So is the CBS link I provided which isn't quite up to the level of the goose-stepping Pravda-like intonations of Wiki.
Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, moron.

What do the good folks at Stormfront think of Ford’s pamphlet series?

No. But FORD Europe continued to supply Hitler even after Pearl Harbor.
yes, just found this:

"Ford backed Hitler’s accession to power as the head of a coalition government, on promises from Hitler to immediately begin rearmament. During the war, Ford lobbyists stopped the USAAF from bombing Ford factories in The Reich until near the end. After the war, Ford sued the USAAF for damages and won a judgment of 38 million dollars."

jaw-dropping, how even then and even existential wars were impended by bureaucratic red tape
