I didn't see anything honestly, so I can't say what you did, and I agree I don't personally understand, don't see what they see, but I also don't trigger easily, (also I like fear). I finished my fucking paper, and you have just no idea what a big deal that is, because the adhd+pandemic+life has made it super hard for me to do this part of my professor job for a long while, so just getting this done on time even though (1) it's the last minute, and (2) it kind of sucks by my standards, is a huge huge huge deal for me.

But the powers that be are happier if I publish things occasionally, and I really haven't been doing that. At all. I buy their happiness by building student teams that win national competitions instead.

No, seriously, economic and financial literacy in this country is just so fucking bad. Everything is about economics in one way or another (even sex, folks), but people think it's just some stockmarket thing and they only get interested when it all goes to hell. And then I have to explain that high oil prices are about less supply and more demand and not an evil conspiracy of either the oil companies or Biden. (NO I DO NOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS.) At least when I can't stand it anymore. Chill, people. Inflation will come down.We might not have a recession if everyone would just stop acting like we're already in one. It's just going to take longer than five minutes.

Anyway I like it when things make people pay attention to the economy. It's better when they don't suck a lot, though.
