Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

I have (though those names are unheard of here). But they don't actually solve the cause which is the muscles, not the acid. They just deal with the effect. Those acid pump blockers also have side effects like lessening the intake of some vitamins because they mess with the digestion.

And when my gut is totally bloated, those meds don't work at all. At most times I don't even need them, if I avoid certain things - like mint which is prone to relaxing the crucial muscles.
The acid pump blockers allow the muscle to heal. I had this issue many years ago. I took Zantac for about 6 months, and I haven’t had to since.

I do suffer from Esophageal Spasms on rare occasions. That requires much stronger medication to stop.

It's not like I have constant reflux, but mint will MAKE me have (which is where this started). If I drank mint tea every day, there would be no end to my use of acid pump blockers - which would be utterly stupid as I can just not have the mint.

Asthma meds have a tendency to relax not just the bronchus but also those esophageal valves, making me a little more prone to reflux than average people, but it doesn't quite cause reflux on its own. Problems in my gut is another possible source.
