Lootequiette: Pmann's Totally Original/Unaffiliated Thread

Last year I had to visit a super max mens prison for work. Most of these guys all have multiple life sentences and can you believe not even one cat call! I gotta be honest, I was a little disappointed like WTF! :D
Oh my God...I was a Foreman on a steel crew before I returned to college ( although this occurred the summer of my second year). We had a job at the Women's prison. Prevailing wage. We were told absolutely no interaction...so for $35 an hour...no problem. They would search us coming and going...and the job was actually surrounded by razor wire topped 15 ft fence. Anyway...this one...constantly talked....hey baby...you are cute...I get out in a couple months. Don't worry about your gf...I will take care of her....that's why I am in here anyway. I didn't kill her. But she sure is ugly now.

It is rare for me to be afraid. But let me tell you...this bitch had dead eyes...I hated having to go get stuff near the fence

This is a good point, female. And it brings me to my next question.

Do you care what someone calls you? Male. Female. Man. Woman. Guy. Girl. Does it matter to you? I mean, presuming they don’t call you a girl and you’re a guy or vice versa.
Guys, I dont really care what they call me. There is always some bullshit endearment. Motherfucker, fag, bitch, dude, mister, man. It doesn't bother me in the least. If it was with the obvious intention of being an asshole to me, then I take issue and will crack some skulls if necessary to straighten them out.

With women, same sort of thing. Call me sweetie, dear, baby, asshole, darling, handsome, honey. I don't mind. If it's someone new, as in, I don't know this person, or just met them, then, I question it- either directly to them or in my mind. Like, what do they want? And I will puzzle over it. Most often, its nothing, they are just trying to be sweet or something and I am unconcerned.

Me? I refer to people by name mostly. If I know them, then I may use an endearment. Might not. Depends on the situation and mood. My closest people- I often use endearments. I don't have hard rules for this stuff. It's just a bit of self observation. At work, I am a strict professional and expect the same. It's kinda cringy otherwise. But that may be the nature of my work. Some clients, might culturally be more apt to use endearments like Pmann said. Doesn't bother me, I recognize the situation. I don't think it too terribly important enough to get worked up about it at any level.
