This is so so so so important.

We all read through the veil of our own experiences, history, culture.

And we're reading typed words, and some people are good at writing with nuance and some people aren't, and so we put voice and emphasis in, the way our brains see it. Sometimes...maybe even a lot of the time...that's not how the writer meant it. (I can't read anything that my sister writes, because the way she writes...and/or the way I read it...it's like WHY ARE YOU PISSED OFF AT ME?)

Especially here where I feel like I know some people pretty well but others a lot less so, and some of you, just figuring you out!

i think how urban, how close to a natural body of water, and how long they have been here. I have seen it in my neighborhood twice in 18 years.
