Wasn’t Kobe Bryant’ nickname Mamba? Sad he left way to soon. Lotta respect for everything he did on and off court.

I'm sooo afraid of snakes! Like an irrational fear kind of thing
Not that I can think of, unless they don’t have changeDo any businesses you know refuse to accept cash in person?
I don't support businesses that do this. And there's been a growth in business that are adopting this.Do any businesses you know refuse to accept cash in person?
As opposed to by proxy?Do any businesses you know refuse to accept cash in person?
Why don’t you support them? And why is there a growth, if you know?I don't support businesses that do this. And there's been a growth in business that are adopting this.

Because it's a racist policy. There are lot of BIPOC and other low income folks who do not have credit card or a bank account for one reason or the other. Here's one article about it. Some states are passing legislation that requires businesses to accept cash. Why don’t you support them? And why is there a growth, if you know?

Excluding technical issues, ie pos's down but tablets still running credit cards on mobile service, I only know super tiny ones, like glorified home bakers, artists, flea market stands. They don't want to deal with registers and change and they just use their only payment method account statement (ie paypal, venmo etc) as their quarter state sales tax bill and yearly income.Do any businesses you know refuse to accept cash in person?
I always thought it was more expensive for stores to process credit and debit card transactions and cash was the cheap option. I wonder when it changed. It's also perpetuated by big banks who charge exorbitant fees to process cash deposits. Those fees trickle down to the businesses who can't afford it without passing some of that cost on to the consumer.
There's no way it costs banks the amount of money they charge in fees to handle the cash. It's a rip off/invisible tax.
This one I can understand as credit cards charge the business for it. Some small businesses may feel like they don't have the budget for it.I've seen the reverse as well but very rare where they don't accept cards
I thought this too. Some places add extra $ if paying with card. I'm guess when you deposit bulk cash then bank you'd ask you to pay extra. Not sureI always thought it was more expensive for stores to process credit and debit card transactions and cash was the cheap option. I wonder when it changed.
They get you either wayI always thought it was more expensive for stores to process credit and debit card transactions and cash was the cheap option. I wonder when it changed.
self checkouts? way cheaper to not have employees. Covid may have played a part, I did see businesses stop handling cash and go to employee touchless methods. basically switching to self checkout, but never had the cash dispensers, again these were mostly mom and pop though. Can't afford the owners getting sick as they are the employees.I always thought it was more expensive for stores to process credit and debit card transactions and cash was the cheap option. I wonder when it changed.
