And that’s not to say I have bad manners… I have very good manners… but I just have issues in public and speaking … and being understood

Not all doctors have good bedside manners. But i would prefer a capable doctor to a polite oneso true … I’m so socially awkward and it’s definitely hindered me at some points in my life.
well I am not one to ask about fashion or even offer advice on how men should dress. I prefer men undressed. or dressed down lol. Some days I feel this way too - about myself. And then other days I am like fuck I really need to dress better!
Yeah there’s gotta be a middle ground … I like that tattoos are being more acceptable because they are just art … displayed on your body.Luckily that seems to be changing with the times. I remember when having visible tattoos was something that would possibly effect your employment. Now everyone has a shit ton of them. Except me. I don’t have any. Now employers have to be careful they don’t “discriminate” against anyone or anything. Which has also gotten a bit over the top
Fucking rights … and a doctor doesn’t have to “dress the part” to be capableNot all doctors have good bedside manners. But i would prefer a capable doctor to a polite one
Love itI see and lot of clothing and image talk… what do you all think about piercings and tattoos for professional dress?
Btw, just did this today!

oh yes, you can be good and look the part. but you can't not look the part and still be there if you aren't good.In my experience it necessarily isn't, and many top-notch pros actually do look the part, as they understand it's part of their image.
I am FAR better at communicating via text/mail/the written word… When I’m in person, I feel like a total gooberAnd that’s not to say I have bad manners… I have very good manners… but I just have issues in public and speaking … and being understood

exactly. Have you noticed the best specialized surgeons have the worst bedside manner, but hey they are the best at what they do.Not all doctors have good bedside manners. But i would prefer a capable doctor to a polite one
I've met plenty of those, too. Some bosses are bad at getting rid of them, and sometimes it just hasn't happened yet. And getting rid of them can be difficult unless they do actual mistakes.oh yes, you can be good and look the part. but you can't not look the part and still be there if you aren't good.

Gotta love that good ‘ol nepotismHeck, my last boss was both dressing sloppy AND not being very competent. He just happens to be the son of the founder of the company, and at this point the CEO. Also his manners could be better...
oh we are at will employment here. They don't need a reason to fire you. I mean they can't say it is because of your race or religion, but they don't have to say anything at all. you are always expendable and always replaceable, unless they think you are not.I've met plenty of those, too. Their family owns 100% of the shares and seats in the board.Gotta love that good ‘ol nepotism
Unfortunately, there are plenty of people who still judge others based on appearance. I prefer to look my best, without sacrificing too much comfort. I haven’t looked my best since my freaking 20s thoughFucking rights … and a doctor doesn’t have to “dress the part” to be capable
Here they DO need a reason to fire you. Either it's because you screwed bad enough, or then it is financial or production reasons, in which case it usually means they are firing a bunch at the same time, for example 15% of all employees.oh we are at will employment here. I expect people to appreciate others enough to dress and behave in an decent manner. Doesn't need to be fancy.Unfortunately, there are plenty of people who still judge others based on appearance. It’s part of why I don’t do video chats. I mean, I want these guys to like me.Oh 100%
So my options are naked or tshirt and jeans. Lol… hypothetically that choice would depend on just how creepy you want me to be as your cubicle neighbour.
