Freezing gives more time, even weeks over the use-by, just don't keep it for long after defrosting.

I’ve had chicken I’ve opened to cook that has been off days before the use by. Many times. It’s frustrating AF.

I'd think so. You guys are still young and figuring things out. Also a lot of countries outside of the US are very walkable and have good public transportation. Lots of places in the US don't. And it's whatever works for you. This man was a grown ass man in his late 40s i believe.

Around here not all families have a car, definitely not needed in the city. I even have a good friend with 2 kids and no car - I doubt they will ever buy one. Why would they when they do fine without, and of course there are environmental reasons too.

And I'd be a hypocrite demanding the man to be working. I am not always myself fit to do that. My late husband was actually retired due to injury...
