What’s your most controversial opinion?

The intent of calling it virtue signaling? Because it’s a bunch of people willing to play like their partner is a child, whilst condemning jokes they find offensive. The Louis CK bit is offensive. It’s also hyperbole, like many jokes. Yes, it’s crass. But so are many of the things we enjoy here at Lit and other places.

My point with it all, as this whole thread started, was how someone made a simple joke about playing with her husband’s butthole. Some people can’t see it as a joke, so they get offended.

What is the most bothersome to me is how we’ve raised a group of people with translucent skin. Since when have we had the right not to be offended? I’m baffled at the number of people who are so concerned with being offended.

And, with all that said, I rarely actually have deep interest in the topics on here. They are mostly for a laugh. But this one is actually something that is quite important to me. Not rape jokes, but they ability to use humour as an expression. People use offense in their art often. Rappers lace their music with the n word. Is it offensive? Surely. But why do they do it? Because they are taking that and using it to their advantage. When we limit one’s expression because it offends us, we give up a lot.

So I will actually apologize for saying virtue signaling if it somehow diluted what I was trying to say. That was not my intent, whatsoever. Your posts and responses have been well-thought out. While I disagree, I don’t actually want to lose the point of what I was trying to say.
Dude did you ever find that erotic pen pal? People are asking.

I mean she should have been run off. She creates a thread about controversial opinions and then gets butt hurt and starts banning people when they post controversial opinions. That was fucking dumb shit.

Kind of like when someone posts a video that’s controversial and it gets “moderated”?

I take it you've never worked out in the sun in triple-digit temperatures along with high humidity? Where I live is actually classified as being semi-tropical. If I'm out in thorny bush areas I wear some form of trousers. Bib-overalls are redneck looking as hell... but they're comfortable if you're wearing them.
But I'll give you it's not the atypical comment in a porn forum. 😁
For once you are right. Bibs rock.

You know it's not about being "offended", right? The definition google gives me for offended is: resentful or annoyed, typically as a result of a perceived insult.

That alone is downplaying the other people's feelings... it's not about being "offended" but about being legitimately hurt or retraumatized. I just want you to have that clear. Substitute "hurt" for "offended" and see how your argument stacks up.

*Black* rappers lace their music with the n word. That's about taking a word that has been used to insult and harm them for years and making it their own. Non-Black musicians who use it are generally called out, as they should be (is it every one? I don't know as I don't know the rap world very much, but there have been instances, for sure, which makes me think it is generally).

It's all in the spelling of that word. I use that word all the time in RL and on social media and no one gets offended. Again, it's how you spell it. It's more or less ghetto, street talk.

Why am I even on this thread???? 😲

I thank all Listers for putting up with my soapbox. You all deserve better, with lots of licks and stupid innuendos.

Where is that thread about orgies?
