I had my own bit of sticker shock with a replacement part yesterday.

Mules, goats and sheep??? Get alpacas and llamas, good for wool, they can be milked, they can guard against any natural predator and they taste good. As an added bonus, unlike some other critters, they don't tend to wander or need a lot of space so a simple wooden fence is usually enough to keep them around.

That building across the street I've been watching, they accepted my offer yesterday. Now the lawyers do their part and once the ink is set more work will begin. Today, we have triple digit numbers and nothing important is happening, so everyone has been ordered to get the time restricted stuff done and we're cutting out early for the home office. I have stacks of paperwork to be sorted, processed and filed and we can knock that off this afternoon in air conditioned comfort.

Happy Wednesday!!! Slept okay. Had the girlcat. The geezer stayed in here last night. Got a load of clothes drying now - last one - and a full laundry basket, so I reckon I'll tie into those clothes innaminnit and get some of that shit filed where it belongs.


Farm stuff is moving along. I reckon we should get a decision here in 10 days or so, and then we can figure out how to get this thing done with Wat 700 miles away. I'm sure we'll think of something. The world has changed, and so have bankers. A little bit.


We get 90* today until the stroms blow in this afternoon, and we get some of that, and showers, and rain overnight. Hell, works for me. Heat doesn't come back for a couple of days afterwards. Keepin' the a/c bill down.

Well, maybe. Got four good hours of sleep, but the back is still flared up, so I'm on the heating pad.
I might use the heat of the day and get out into the pool today. That might help things a bit.
