January 6th Prosecution vs. Trump - Loving Updates

Republican governor of Arkansas said Donald Trump was 'politically and morally responsible' for last year's January 6 Capitol riot during a Sunday television interview.
Asa Hutchinson's most direct condemnation of the former president over the riot yet comes just a few days after the House select committee investigating the attack held its first in a series of six hearings presenting its findings.
Hutchinson, meanwhile, urged his own party to do some 'soul searching' on its allegiance to Trump.
'You can make the case, and I would agree, that he's politically and morally responsible for much of what has happened,' the governor said.

'But in terms of criminal liability, I think the committee has a long way to go before they could establish that.'

The committee's next hearing is on Monday, June 13 at 10am Eastern Time.

i believe there's another on Wednesday

Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien is a no-show this morning. Family emergency, he says.

Donny: 'Hey Bill, I hear you're gonna have a family emergency this morning. Ya' know what I mean Bill? And if you don't, I'm pretty sure you're GONNA have a family emergency this morning. Ya know what I mean?'

I don't expect Trumpkins to care about him lying about the election, but I'm really surprised more of them aren't angry that he scammed anyone who donated to his nonexistent campaign to fight election fraud. That money went to the same mystery locale as the inauguration funds.

Yep, those Trumpettes are real dummies, aren't they?

Former Attorney General Bill Barr says Trump would not listen when he told him election fraud claims were false

  • William Barr, a former attorney general for ex-President Donald Trump, gave detailed testimony to the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
  • In recorded comments presented during the panel’s second public hearing, Barr portrayed Trump as refusing to concede that the 2020 election was legitimate, no matter what Barr told him.
  • “After the election, he didn’t seem to be listening,” Barr said in describing his interactions with Trump following Trump’s loss to President Joe Biden.

Like all of the others who have enabled and are enabling Trump, Bill Barr could have come out with this a lot sooner than when there were book profits to consider.

Lock them all up.

Like many of us have said, his 'proof of fraud' is simply that the other guy got more votes. If he had gotten more votes, there would have been no fraud and the entire election would have been the most perfect in history. He's just a great big baby and a very sore loser who can't believe anybody voted against him.

And he's making utter fools out of millions of idiots.

Those idiots were most likely fools before. Dig back through this board to '08 and before.

If 'Pubs had gotten more votes by mail, you'd see a huge push to widen voting by mail.

"I think once you actually look at the votes, there's a [sic] obvious explanation," Barr said of Trump's election fraud conspiracy theories. "For example, in Pennsylvania, Trump ran weaker than the Republican ticket generally. He ran weaker than two of the state candidates. He ran weaker than the congressional delegation running for federal Congress."
Barr added that Trump "generally was a weak element on the Republican ticket
Beyond Pennsylvania, a statistical analysis from Roll Call found that Trump underperformed the average GOP candidate in other states such as Georgia, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin.
Among the false claims raised by Giuliani included an accusation of a "discrepancy" between mail-in ballot applications for a GOP primary with those cast in the general election.

"But it kept on being repeated, and I found it annoying," Barr said The ex-attorney general said McSwain told him the theory originated with Doug Mastriano, a Pennsylvania state GOP senator who is now the 2022 Republican gubernatorial nominee.

We all know that. If there had been this massive fraud, how dd so many 'Pubs other than Donny win? Why didn't they all lose by similar margins?

$60,000 for a 3 minute speech? obscene

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), who helped lead the January 6 committee’s Monday hearing, told a CNN reporter the committee has evidence Trump’s family benefited from donations taken in by Trump-affiliated groups following the 2020 election—a fundraising push Trump’s campaign had marketed as a way of financing post-election legal battles.
She later specified on CNN that Guilfoyle was paid $60,000 to give a three-minute speech near the White House the morning before the Capitol riot, appearing over an hour before Trump took the stage, and told his supporters to “fight like hell.”

o.k, moment over: she is saying she respects barr so accepts what he said... so she's saying that she's chosen to respect him over trump, or even that she holds little or NO respect for her father (not that i fault her for that). his words are more important to her than trump's. in trump's eyes, the ultimate betrayal, surely.

Off with her head!

Yep. His redemption book tour didn’t go over so well. Same with Bolton.

Also, the same PR firm that says Giuliani wasn’t drunk on election night reasserts he was just tucking in his shirt!
