The Democrats know that November will bring the political equivalent of a public execution for many Democrats and the grandiose ideas of oppression planned by the Biden Administration, so it's full speed ahead to try and ram through as much destruction of individual rights and the Constitution as can be had in six months.

The leadership class is both parties. Maybe a few like Marjorie Taylor Greene can avoid blame by being too far fringe or too dumb to gain power. From Reagan to Biden, both parties have a long line of weasels who pushed resource waste and environmental destruction, sometimes while using the fear of environmental destruction to fund some greenwashed pork. Both parties went blindly into war after war after war.
