Being a single father is hard. Having to raise a daughter who is a sociopath is even harder.

"What do you want tout of life?" he asked her at an early age.

"I want wealth and power, father."

"You must concentrate on your education first and be learned in all subjects," he advised.

When she turned 18, he asked her once again, "What do you want out of life?"

"Wealth. Power. To invoke fear instead of love in those under my station."

"While you are beautiful, it is a man's world. It is a world that revolves around sex. Continue your education, but become learned in the erotic arts of seduction. Make it so that men with wealth and power are eager to bestow those things upon you for the mere chance of experiencing pleasure with you."

"Instruct me, father."

"But... I am your father. That would be inappropriate."

"You are also a man. Teach me the art of seduction and what a man wishes to hear. Allow me to perfect my skills in the pleasures of the flesh such as fellatio and lovemaking so that I may begin achieving my goals without delay. In return I will provide you the sexual outlet that you have not had since my mother passed away."

Your characters are talking at (not 'with') each other like robots or bored actors with a script. I assume you're doing this for the sake of either fun or brevity. Whatever, basically you're looking to set up a father - daughter incest scenario and your very first move should be to make them more human and reach any 'arrangement' through hesitation, reluctance, excitement, lust... the whole gamut of what comes with being human, even a sociopathic one.

You're writing for a readership - even if it's just you - one that needs a story. This is something which is forgotten time and again by 'authors' on here.

It's merely a set-up for the idea of the story, not the story itself. It was meant to convey the main idea / theme / jist of what would happen and how/why it is initiated.

Also, it's not how a sociopath thinks, in my opinion. Well adjusted sociopathic behavior yields wealth and power sometimes, but isn't necessarily the goal.

First of all, it's emotional disability. They don't understand how typical humans operate, so they have to learn it objectively, and analyze every interaction intentionally. It leads to understanding of all interactions as contractual. That's what make them especially good at manipulation, because that's very much the only way they know to survive.

And of course, they have their needs and wants, and simply don't understand how those are clashing with anybody's else. They want what they want, period, and would do anything and everything to get it, with no counterbalance of empathy. Doesn't mean they can't compromise, they can, and may be very good at it, but it's always just a step towards the goal, no negotiation is ever final.

It would be up to her father to translate her initial innocent childish fantasies (let's say a private zoo of rare beasts she could play with (for arbitrary cruel values of "play" untold)) into need for extreme wealth and power to change laws to see them fulfilled. Instead of discouragement, she takes that for instruction. And she's impatient and maximalist. So, good education may or may not bring her there eventually, but it's not enough, not fast enough. She wants wealth and power now, to realize her evolving fantasies (let's say, she decided her future zoo needs to include humans) as soon as possible.

Again it's her father who unintentionally suggests she can use her femininity for a weapon, and appropriate existing wealth and power that way. That's a very intriguing thought, but remember, she doesn't understand emotions the way most do, and observation may only bring her that far, and even drama club doesn't teach what really happens after the first kiss, the whole love thing being incomprehensible bullshit.

So what she demands from dad, is about the lines, "there's that cool boy (who's perfect victim for my current goals, and actually stepping stone to his dad etc untold considerations), so how I go about seduction (and turning him into a putty doormat ready to anything)?"

She probably won't directly demand him to "show" things, just shamelessly turn him into a training aid, leading all the way, trying out all kinds of suggestions on him right away, in all kinds of situations, just to see what happens. Then, demand after action reports.

The dad may be willing victim, though, but for her it's never about him, but about the next male on her ladder.

Yes to what LupusDei said (I think) but I don't believe sociopathy is necessarily an "all or nothing" proposition. I sort of love the idea for a story, but reservedly, since I don't know where you intend to go with it. I'm not big into incest stories but I could see a situation in which the daughter leads the father down a path - slowly making him one of her victims.

He watches what she does to young men - pretending to like them, to meet their emotional needs - the same emotional needs Dad has but doesn't have a woman to fulfill them - then she crushes them. He watches again and again, living vicariously through the young men she chooses as victims. Even though he knows what she's going to do to them, he can't resist "helping" in any way he can. It might start with simply sharing his opinion on which dress looks best, it progresses to him buying her sexy clothes and a sexy car, maybe even finding suitable victims to introduce to the daughter.

Perhaps at some point early on in the story, Dad starts getting serious about a woman. Daughter doesn't want to share his attention, and she drives the woman away. Perhaps that's when she realizes Dad's value as a training aid. All hers.

Dad doesn't want to fuck his daughter -- he wants to submit, to worship her power. And as LupusDei says, "for her it's never about him, but about the next male on her ladder." Dad knows he can never have what he needs from her, so his only consolation is being allowed to help her get what she needs. He becomes her emotional cuckold.
