TSCLT 12.0: The pantheon hates a pussy 2.0

Home. It's been a long day. We got a bit of shit accomplished. It'll be good to be away from Teh St000pid for a couple of days. Speaking of, gasoline prices have taken quite the hop upwards pricewise. They make a small sticker of Unka Joe posing and pointing and the caption says "I did that!" So I am now applying them to gas pumps pointing at the price line. Amusing some and chapping the asses of others is what Wat lives for.

Going to go to look at Ike's former staff car tomorrow. Is it really? Of course not. Someone got carried away with the olive drab. Unless Kay Summersby left a bit of DNA in the back seat.

So I Googled her to make sure I spelled the old tart's name correctly and there she is, leaning on the hood of . . . a fucking Cadillac.

Gonna get a jump on tomorrow . . . .

Good morning.

Ordered some of those stickers myself. Should work at the grocery store as well. :)

I see we have attracted attention again. What did you guys do this time?
Tomorrow is mother's day, I forgot. I was informed this morning that I have plans for tomorrow.
The minions will have to adjust that. It's my only day off and this girlie plans to catch up on some sleep.
Today there is coffee, work then housework.

That's like in Loopers where Bruce Willis shoots a kid, which is like Once Upon A Time In The West where Henry Fonda shoots a kid. I guess the answer is, why not shoot a kid? Roast him and have him with a side of baby carrots, and then your evil will truly know no bounds.

The Staph Car was fairly represented and more fairly priced at a 20% discount from asking, so we agreed quickly on it. No Kay Summersby tracks. Lots of good Wat parts and some pre-war parts which can be whored off online for fun and profit. I'll go back and collect it in two weeks.

The drive was a loser. It rained most of the way. The interstate way takes a body right past Big City Central and the traffic was a loser at 0730 on Saturday morning. The good news is, the place that I was going to is really close to The Back Way, so I came home that way. It drizzled as I left the house and got worse on the way. It was worst while trying to look at a car outside. Good thing Wat's rain jacket kicks ass. And then it rained all the way home in varying degrees of intensity. It makes getting the wipers set a nuisance when it behaves like that.

Home. Grazing on leftovers. Still raining. Going to have a quiet night.

Glad your deal went through Wat.

The burning question is, "Did our contributor turn himself in?"

Good morning.

The smell of smoke was heavy in the air last night. It seems to have cleared out this AM but today is going to be another nasty day for the firefighters. Winds will probably ground the fire bombers again.

Ya know, Johnny Depp is a guy that could have really used an Amber Alert.

What, someone here own his shit? Besides us? Highly unlikely. Of course, we know where the pig farms are and what their feeding schedules are, so we do have a distinct advantage.

Happy Sunday!!! More rain, at least for a bit. High of 51* for today, so the heat may run for a bit. Good, as it'll dry things out. Maybe a couple of these inside projects can get attended to. But we need cat food so there's a Wally's trip after coffee.

The girlcat is playing with the ghost cat. It's one cat playing Chase The Cat, and the ghost cat loved playing Chase the Cat, so it's a logical explanation.

The coffee is gittin' 'er done . . . .

On this date in 1945: The Halifax riot starts when thousands of civilians and servicemen rampage through Halifax, Nova Scotia.

With a gentle ribbing of our "peaceful" Canadian friends.

It seems that, when the war is over, it's time for a serious riot. Like there's sich-a-thang as an un-serious riot

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halifax_riot

Without licensed bars to go to, they rioted instead . . . .

I mean, why not riot??!?

Anyway, it is an interesting story, and I had never heard of it.

My memories of Halifax's history goes more to 1917 when a munitions boat exploded, close to 2000 were killed and thousands more were injured.
As for the riot, that's blown out of proportion. It was a bunch of servicemen wanting to celebrate the end of the war, being dumped in the streets of a community without enough prostitutes, hotel rooms, food or booze. That only left street brawls for entertainment. Politicians were and still are too busy sucking their silver spoons to realize how people in masses really function.

I think that the point that Wiki made was that it was in terms of shipping the largest port on the eastern seaboard without benefit of being the largest port in terms of infrastructure.

It didn't mention the shortage of whores, but being as this was/is the Navy, that was the first thing I thought of. Whores-n-booze, the sailor's best friends.

There is no shortage of bewb pics in this thread, and we never have riots.

That's because Wat understands the upside of pimpin'.

We did burgers here with potato wedges, it made for good Sunday night feeding.
My grandpa H served on the ships, he was in the navy, he was just shy of fifteen when he signed on,
he lied about his age because he needed the work and they need men so they didn't ask too many questions.
His stories are the reason I know the most important things when they arrived in port were B&B, booze and broads
