It's plain to all who have a functioning brain, the primary reason you're always in the dark, the Biden Administration itself is the biggest source of disinformation in America and now they've decided to showcase it with an official government office of disinformation. The function of the office will be to shut people up, revise history, and adjust public narratives to cast our Democrat oppressors in glowing terms and heroic light. Ya know, like they do in China, North Korea, and Russia. Democrats salivate at the mere thought of that kind of power.

The point here is not whether we need a disinformation board, because clearly with all the lies and propaganda being fed to the public, we certainly do.
But the key thing is, a disinformation board should be IMPARTIAL. It should not be appointed by one sitting president or political party. It should report only to an impartial judiciary.

Otherwise, we could end up with exactly what we ended up with under Trump- a leader controlling the flow of information, creating his own "ministry of truth" and censoring opinions. We all were alarmed and outraged (or should have been, anyway) when Trump attempted to do just this- spread his own blatant falsehoods as truth. What if a power hungry democrat president attempted abuse his power and do the same thing? Or if, once created, an equally corrupt and autocratic Republican like Trump (if not he himself) comes back into office and creates his own "disinformation board" to silence attempts to block his OWN disinformation?

Unless this disinformation board is run by a truely independant and non-partisan entity, such as the courts, it is a slippery slope.

I find it ironic that Mr. Musk purchases twitter and a dire need for a *Disinformation Governance Board* is fabricated, an absolute necessity for national security. Mayorkas, on Sunday news shows, immediately goes into damage control explaining away the need to protect the US from foreign entities spreading disinformation that could harm the US. So, just what are the responsibilities of the NSA, FBI and DOJ??? It's all bullshit.

So one party CAN'T go all George Orwell and be the last word on what is true and what is not. A disinformation governance board should not be appointed by the president, in other words- even if that president is a Republican (Sorry youcanthelp1 and GothTalk)

Because, One thing I see here (and find so frustrating) is that some people are perfectly okay with the previous Republican administration lying and manipulating the truth, and refuse to accept the truth when independent non-partisan organizations call them out on it.
But if a Democratic administration does it- oh no, this is "orwellian" and wrong!
