Just thinking about my friends who chat on Discord while we're playing online games. I know waaay too much about their pets from all the times they get demanding in the middle of a dungeon crawl or something.

Somewhere on the internet, someone is posting something like this about my husband and me in the background demanding attention

Most of the shops and supermarkets are close on Sunday here too. Not all of them though.

I think the difference is that over there, it's so the shop keepers can have a day off, and here in the states, it's the remnants of Puritanical Jesus nonsense.

Hairdressers have two, sunday and monday.

What about pharmacies, for emergencies?

You will always be able to access a pharmacy, they offer a 24 hour emergency service (Notdienst) but you need to know which one is open as the pharmacies rotate/ take turns being open.

Yes. In Germany it is to protect the workers. I am very glad it has stuck actually, people here are exploited terribly with temporary contract work and a low minimum wage. Unless of course you have an awesome job and earn well. The divide between rich and poor is getting bigger. That is a harsh reality.

Yes. In Germany it is to protect the workers. I am very glad it has stuck actually, people here are exploited terribly with temporary contract work and a low minimum wage. Unless of course you have an awesome job and earn well. The divide between rich and poor is getting bigger. That is a harsh reality.

Unfortunately, that's a very American disease that is spreading, it seems.
