I just started reading Admissions by Henry Marsh. I love it !!! BUt, it is very much in my wheel house. It is about a retiring neurosurgeon from the UK if you have not read it. He reminds me of my own father at that time and it is just a beautiful book in life and death and retirement and healthcare. It is the second of his two books.

I'd have offered to bring you something, but I'm about 3500 miles away. It would have been cold and you'd still be waiting on it.
EDIT: Plus, you know, nothing would have simultaneously spelled "I love you" and "Stalker" like bringing you a meal over that distance and somehow figuring out where you live...

Have you read Oryx and Crake? That's part of a trilogy. I'd recommend that if you haven't checked it out yet
