This goes for both parties. They blocked Obama's supreme court nominee Merrick Garland on the basis that "A lame-duck president should not get to nominate the Supreme Court Justice"- Mitch McConnell.

But yet...ironically, "We need to hurry up and confirm Amy Barnett to the Supreme Court before the next election"- Mitch McConnell.

Even a child can see the hypocrisy here. The president gets to nominate who he wants for cabinet picks. Even if he's a Democrat.
