Aussie Aussie Aussie....?

Happy New Year to you all!
Sorry that I started this thread and have then been quiet!
Ahh CoVid...you throw a curveball every time things seem to be settling down!
I hope you're all staying relatively safe and well out there.
Omicron has definitely taken Qld by surprise. I've worked several days in our CoVid testing clinic...busy times, that's for sure.
I hope you all get some time to chill out thanks to Lit!

A fellow Aussie

I'm happy someone started this thread.
Hello from Sydney and hello to the community.

Hi everyone, I have a couple of aussie threads saved but always good to bring up new ones for people.
Adelaide here, been on Lit for years in one capacity or another.
Always welcome a chat.

I’m currently in Victoria but I’m looking to eventually go back up to Brisbane to be closer to family. I’ve been away for way too long and I miss the heat! Way too cold down here!!!

Come and visit Canberra in winter, then Vic will seem warm. :)

Though last winter was very mild. I don’t think it snowed at all and we had very few (if any) mornings below -5.

There was plenty of snow on the mountains to the south, but none in the city.
Oh I went to Canberra in winter. It was actually my first trip leaving qld. I was not prepared! I had never heard of negative temperatures before then
I froze my ass off! Back then I was thin so had no fat to keep me warm.

Don’t think I’ve really gone back since :p

I like the heat. With the heat I can just remove layers.

With the cold I have to add more and more and more and eventually I just feel like a puffy marshmallow that has to waddle.

it's good to see you've realised this is the place to be but I suggest waiting for a little until we dry out some 😊

Way down in Tassie for me, hope the rain stops for you northern folks 🤗

It’s okay I have a little blow up boat I can use to get places!
I was up there for the 2011 floods and was evacuated for it. I would have thought they would have learnt a lesson from that…. But then again when does the government ever learn and do what’s best for the people so long as they are safe in their little ivory towers the rest of us can just learn to swim.

OI OI OI
(in case you were wondering on the appropriate response)!

I'm just new to the forum (long-time reader of stories though) and I noticed there seems to be a major assumption or acceptance that most people are American, going by the headings of some of the threads.

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I also couldn't see an obviously Australian thread. So I thought I'd create one.

I'm a nearly 42yo SWF (haha that makes me think of the movie and I only recent watched it). I'm in Queensland, Australia.

Where are my fellow Aussies?
Hi, Vic guy here. I love reading the erotica here. Love getting off to a good story

I visited Boston over Christmas one year.

I thought I knew cold.

Wow! I was so wrong.
When I got off the plane in Canberra they cheerily announced “the current temperature is -1c”. I literally turned around and said quite shocked “minus…. We don’t have minus in Brisbane!” And they just laughed at me and said I had made their day….

Oneday I want to see the snow. It does look beautiful. But I think I want to go and see the snow and play in it like a small child and build a snowman before spending the rest of the time in a hot tub. I would love it to be a hot tub outside on a balcony overlooking some amazing snowy landscape. I can sit there and relax while I have a drink.

Hey all. It's been a while since I've been on Lit, but i do go through phases (amazingly, my profile tells me I've been a member since 2003!).

45 M here on the Sunny Coast. Always looking to find people to chat with - on Lit or elsewhere - that share interests or might awaken new ones for me. And there's something I particularly enjoy about those other people coming from Australia too. Not sure why - maybe it's a cultural commonality or something.

I saw Tulip_Love mentioned in a post above something about noting when a story is written in an Australian voice. Well, for what it's worth, here's one that I co-wrote with another Lit reader last year. It's my first story contribution here. Hopefully not the last (been co-writing another for a while now but the ball's been in my court for waaay too long).

Anyway, if anyone every feels like a chat, I'm totally up for a message.

Male in Melb here. I love to read clever stories and I’m happy to chat. Thanks for the thread!
