While they are still the majority Party:

Eliminate stock trading for members of Congress (and their immediate families).

After all, the Republicans are the Party of the rich and
we know how the rich like to game the system...

Ossof created legislation and could not get a Republican cosponsor

Sure.

So why don't the Democrats who are in charge push it??

Why isn't Pelosi leading the charge to defend us little people???

We know why.

Because Pelosi is against the legislation. That's already been shown to be true.

But so are Republicans.

I love how you are consistently needing to express some "gotcha" moment in every response.

Why didn't Trump repeal & replace when he had the power and authority?

WE KNOW WHY! 🤫

So progressive.

But so are Republicans.

So? It's not really a priority for the GOP.

Glad you get something out of it.

He never had the authority.

Presidents don't legislate, congress does.

It amazes me how often you have to keep reminding progressives of that.:D

I lean towards progressive but Pelosi like Hillary is a Republican who when asked if women deserve equal rights gave the incorrect answer which is YES.

The reality as we learned under Obama even a near filibuster proof (and that should be eliminated) majority isn't really enough to push a goddamned thing. That's just how dysfunctional our government actually is.

You heard me, there is very little even left of center about either of them. IF the Right wasn't so focused on hurting minorities and women both of them would play for the other team. Hell from a purely tactical point it might be better if they had switched sides years ago.

Yet another response with no point, not to mention completely ignores what my original post was.

Nah, just pointing out you don't have support for it.

It amazes me how often you have to keep reminding progressives of that.:D

Like we're supposed to support their shit.

The majority of which the don't even want to try and sell, they just want to go right to pulling the guns out and forcing it federally.

That's a feature not a dysfunction. We are not a unitary state run by simple majority rule.

States are things.

Also lean?? Please... you're a full blown ultra-woke hammer and sickle progressive.

It's not though.

That's just leftist bullshit narrative.... Kool-Aid you lapped up like a good progressive.

Altruistic and simple, though not likely. As much as the Republicans are deemed rich, so are the Democrats. Neither Dems or Reps leave ooffice poorer than they arrived, often both are much richer than when they arrived.

The battle should not be to hurt either side, yet to do what is best to represent the people who sent them there. Of course that is also simple and altruistic.

And here I thought you were going with the more traditional choice: A rifle.

Shame the parties (or at least their constituency) are more concerned about hurting the other side, calling the other side names, blaming the other side, blocking the other side, ad nauseum. There’s less incentive to actually do anything productive at this rate.
