Trump took documents so sensitive that they cannot even be described to the public Breaking a slew of laws

Total bullshit. Trump as President has plenary authority to determine what is classified and what isn't classified.

Outstanding that one of their own tells the truth outside of closed doors. But Barr knocked the sheen off of his reputation and this won’t get it back.
yep, just like that other cunt, whatever his name was

But does he have authority to take it off site when he loses and has to leave town?

You know vette never reads the entire article before typing something irrelevant and stupid.

Lol, what a fucking stupid thread.

Trump, as President, could take those documents and show them on live TV and break no laws because he, as President, has the ultimate authority to do whatever the fuck he wants to do with classified documents and materials.
100% incorrect. As a former president, he is not able to declassify anything.

And as usual, the "but her emails" crowd is making excuses for this far more egregious breach of security.

The Hillary email story seemed silly to me. There are many better reasons to drop her out of a plane over Iraq, Syria, Libya, etc.

Like that she's so good at giving rotten people ulcers that she gives you ulcers.

Maybe he could. But should he have? Sometimes what is legal ain't ethical or very intelligent. Besides, say Biden did the same, what pray tell would be your response? Would you defend his decision to put our nation in jeopardy by treating sensitive documents like a note passed in class? If not, why not? And do you really see the donald's handling of such documents as a shoulder shrug, or are you so myopic in your political view as to defend him for something you know he shouldn't have done? Of course, I don't really expect a well thought out civil reply, but I'm always hopeful.

For my money, no matter the political party, I'd be pissed at ANY DFing asswipe that could be so careless with such important things.

Comshaw
"Shouldn't have" isn't a criminal offense.

And, if Brandon does the same, then I fully expect Secret Service to go retrieve the docs just like they did from Trump.

As for the sensitive docs being equal to grade school note passing, give it a fucking rest. If all you have are analogies to grade school, you lack the sophistication and intelligence to even be having this conversation. Which actually isn't all that surprising after reading the drivel you'e been posting all these years.

You know why Comshaw is smarter than you, RAPEY? Cuz you didn't even comprehend his post before responding and went off on a retarded rant.

You must have missed the part where he was President when he took the docs because if he got access to them AFTER Brandon was sworn in, and therefore was no longer President, then he had the authority to do whatever the hell he wanted to do with them.

AND, if Trump was able to access classified docs after Brandon taking office, what the hell does that say for Brandon's administration's ability to protect classified materials?

I'd call you a mental midget but that would be insulting to midgets everywhere.

I see luk has awakened from his overnight stupor and decided to repeat his stupidity again today.

The man is criminally corrupt and an espionage asset of Vladimir Putin. He needs to go to prison.
He won’t go to prison. Mueller failed. Schiff failed. Vance failed. And as we’ve observed for over a year now, Biden Administration, the Democrat controlled Congress, and Democrat NY AG’s office are clearly not up for the job.

As I said: "Of course, I don't really expect a well thought out civil reply, but I'm always hopeful." Dude, you need to chill. You aren't going to get a rise from me, get me to come down to your level by using such transparent and childish insults. Anyone with a bit of intelligence reading such an exchange as this can tell who makes the best point.

Besides those insults, let me address what you did say.

"Shouldn't have" isn't a criminal offense." If you will be so kind as to again read my post, I never said it was. I said it wasn't ethical or intelligent. So are you saying that the act of taking those files was? Would you see it that way if it were Biden? If not, why not?

Of course if Biden did the same everyone would expect the Secret Service to retrieve them, but what oh what would be your total response if Biden did? Would you give it a shoulder shrug as you have with the donald, or an extended insult laced rant? Be honest.

I didn't equate the sensitive docs with a note passed in class; I did equate the HANDLING of those docs to the HANDLING of a note passed in class. I believe your lack of comprehension of what I said, or blatant red herring fallacy on this point, doesn't hold up.

The former guy was responsible for surrendering any classified documents in his possession once his term of office ended. He obviously did not. Even BoBo knows its a crime to possess classified information you're no longer entitled to.

Ouch. Poor RAPEY, forever the failed ambulance chaser.

Nothing is going to happen because of it. Obama and every other President in recent memory have done the same thing. Yes, he has the ultimate authority. All classification authority stems from the President's plenary authority to determine what is classified and what isn't.

45 took them wasn't president when he took them, vettedummy. Why the fuck is this so hard for your stupid ass to understand?

Weird...i thought Trump was President until Biden was sworn in. But what do I know?

He was. But he didn't leave for Mar-a-Lago until the night before Biden was sworn in. It's all irrelevant anyway. The records created on government time belong to the government, by law, not the individual president. These aren't Trump's records. When he destroyed or walked off with them, he was illegally handling government property. Of the great multitude of cases building against Trump, this is going to be one of the easiest ones to get him for.

The Presidential Records Act requires that the White House preserve and transfer all written communication related to a president’s official duties — including everything from memos to emails — to the National Archives.
