Or maybe the word "secret" fantasy can be interpreted in this way: when the scientist unleashes this power, the people on whom it is tried will find a totally new version of themselves. They will indulge in a fantasy which they did not consciously think about, but this power has brought it to the forefront. And they really enjoyed it.

Could go very wrong interpreting the vagaries of language. Consider things like "I'd like to tap that" or "I'd love to kiss her fanny". Shaved pussy might be too obvious and mean...
