How to edit profile under new format:

Yes, we can now edit our profiles. Go to your members' page, where you post stories. Click on Options on the left-hand pane and you can now edit your profile. Don't forget to click 'Save Changes - but nothing appears to happen.

I tried it and got the error message I get half the time when I try posting - unable to perform command, look for an error in the console browser, whatever that is. I need to edit a pic to try to get the head in the wee circle rather than cut off, too.

Ava editing seems wonky as hell. Messed around with trying it on my Les ID, and it seemed to fail, but some pages are showing the new ava I uploaded while most don't.

No matter where I click it from to edit it ( trying to maneuver it so none of the text gets cut off ) it brings up the old ava.

ETA: Must be a cache issue, because I'm seeing the new ava everywhere when viewing it as RR.

Last I heard they were working on it. There seems to be a glitch between AV's on the writers side and the new forums.

Absolutely a cache issue of some kind. Anywhere I viewed the ava while logged in as RR previously still shows the old one, while any page/thread I haven't visited in this ID shows the new one.

The picture on the profile page is not the same one as you might use for your avatar. It could be I suppose if you can find what you originally used for the profile. By the way, avatars started appearing on the forum two or three days ago, I think.

I somehow got an avatar picture to upload on the forum and author page, but I have no idea what made it work after numerous incomprehensible error messages.

As has been said, there are still glitches with this. I'm probably going to give it some time before I work on it.

I am not impressed with the new system, but a new system was needed. I am playing with it and finding out what I can do, but unfortunately, also what I can't do...

The whole profile page photo/avatar issue has never been consistent, but I got used to it. The image should show up with the stories themselves, for example. I admit I rarely read Manu's site announcements, but I will from now on.

I don't seem to be able to switch signatures on and off. The signature field is much reduced so I have had to edit drastically.

As you can see, my forum avatar got trashed but the different story avatar looks fine. Hmm. Looks like I’ll be trying for a new one.

I went to 'Your Account' and then 'account details' and clicked on the image to change the avatar. I loaded a new avatar and it shows on the the little panel for avatar but the old avatar remains with a third of the photo cut off. I did use an image of over 400x400 as suggested. I'll wait a few days and if no improvement, I guess I'll try to contact the site guru. Frustrating, but not the end of the world.

Trion, I'm seeing a different AV than what you had been using. Instead of the whole soft shell I'm seein the head looking the opposite way.

And just like that, it’s fixed. Maybe one needs to make the changes and completely log out. I’m still bummed about the previous avatar being ruined. I can’t find the original picture any more. Oh well. No biggie. Got to get back to work on my three upcoming submissions.

There are still two places where there is an avatar and user information... Here is the forums and on the Author's page. Plus I adjusted my Avatar slightly just to see if it took right away and it did but now the Av is of a lower quality than the original.
