Just out of curiosity, I went to some of the original posts in the various sections on this website. it seems they started in the year 2000. just wondering if any of the people who posted back then are still active on the site today?

Not an original, but I have been around since the early 2000's. The first time on here I found pics of a co-worker. :)

:)

Wow! Was your discovery ever brought up at work?

hey...

I have came and went.

And as soon as I find what I'm looking for I will be gone again.

Back then I was Hitchiker...then Dlbrtstrngr... then Clkclkbng and a couple other incarnations I don't remember.

I have been around, posting stories since July 2002, but I'm not an original.

Manu and Laurel, the founders and owners of this site, date from August 1999.

Has the site changed over the years as far as the posts and members or is it been about the same?

a few show up from time to time. some shitheads never leave, but they've had many different names.

and some of us just posted anonymously until they took that away then we eventually signed up.

I forgot about the anonymous days….

Some hanker for 'the good old days' which weren't. The GB has been better since the Politics Board was created but the arguments with people shouting past each other with their fingers in their ears still continue.

There are quite a few of the original Lit users who have died in service, but some remain. Most have created a new account and user name. A lot of stuff happened in those days and it was a good idea to create some space. When Google Image Search became a thing, there were some embarrassing moments.

Champakian was one of the OGs until he was banned several times for being a fucking idiot. Dixon Carter Lee is also an OG and is still here under this name.

I was here back then, albeit under a different username.

Seeing how it was 20 plus years ago and I'm reasonably sure the statute of limitations is up I've been around a good four or five years longer than my profile claims but I'm not quite and OG. I am however shocked when I see people who were here before me.

Yes, I told her I saw the pics. I never told anyone and then a few years ago I told her that I had saved them, and she said she had lost them, so I copied them onto a disc for her.
:)

Didnt "Champakian" used to go by Kantarii and/or Conager? Or was that a different guy?

As far as being an idiot, there have been, and still are, much, much worse than him out there. He's at least capable of rational discussion as opposed to mindless trolling and cut/pasting far-right news media, unlike some people.

I joined in 2015. Still have same user name. I've never felt the need, unlike some, to hide behind multiple aliases.

Holy SHIT Bronze! You're still alive! I thought for sure you woulda croaked by now.
In answer to the OPs question, I think I first joined in 2003 or so. Not sure there are too many 'Originals' around.

Well, it is quite nice to see that Sean Renaud and Nevyn Black are still here and active.

I started back in 2008 as DeathsKnight and if I am not mistaken, I switched to this name in 2015.
