“President Joe Biden is now so unpopular that he has fallen a bit below even Donald Trump. Real Clear Politics average of presidential approval polls has Biden at 41% approval and 53% disapproval. Trump’s corresponding 2018 approval number edges Biden at 41.4%, with disapproval at 53.9%.”

It is a bit of a stretch to say Biden is less popular than Trump at this stage of their presidencies. The numbers are so close it’s more reasonable to say that Biden and Trump’s popularity is pretty much even. But the precipitous drop for Mr. Biden, and the seemingly endless trajectory is absolutely stunning.

I attribute it to 3 main things:

1. Incompetence. The most notable display came with the Afghanistan withdrawal, but many other examples hit the news daily. Covid, the border, terrible personnel decisions, etc.

2. Cognitive decline. Covid allowed him to minimize public appearances during the campaign. Now that he’s in office, Americans are witnessing his confusion regularly. We all cringe when he speaks.

3. Inflation. First he tried to deny it. Transitory he said. Now he’s pivoting to a cocktail of empathy and silly gimmicks like suspending the gas tax.

What are your explanations?

Bad communication.
Covid variations and communications of precautions as well as botched testing program
Inflation and poor communication
Putin and poor communication

I would have fired my communication staff months ago.

For Covid, he should've hired a czar to be the one source.of truth.

Any and every single thing regarding the economy that can be done, should be done and declared loudly....not behind the scenes.

Telling the American people more clearly why Ukraine is of importance would also be a good thing

The rights oversimplification of messaging makes it easy for them to deploy and difficult for even savvy politicians to combat.

He's not less popular. It's all in the Swiftboating by the likes of the OP.

Now imagine Joey Meltbrain with Trump's press. Does he even hit double digits?

This is finally the case where it's close enough to be tied, which is not something to ignore

And if they can't restructure the narrative, it won't get any better

He doesn't possess trump's skill for childish nicknames.

Dumbass trump thought the key to North Korea was through China. He doesn't read and he doesn't even listen to people who do read.

Don't forget his promotion of a doctor who said covid came from outer space.

The vultures are wasting their powder on this issue, which is fine with me. We just need Biden for this one term. He's already president--and he's doing as a good a job as folks will let him do. Falsely unloading on him as vultures are doing is just a waste in my mind. I don't see him running again. Therefore he doesn't have to overcome falsely created reports on unpopularity to try to influence future outcomes. He just needs to keep doing his job and keeping the Trumpers from destroying everything.

I already refuted your nonsense, fuzz butt. It also has nothing to do with your Nazi.

You did what now?

All you did was turn tail, and disappear from that thread......

Please go back, and try to refute that link....it literally was talking about how effective the COVID vaccines have been.....including that only 1507 fully vaccinated people who contracted COVID after getting dosed, died......0001% of all total COVID deaths...

How can you refuted that....in your DUMB-Fuck American mind you did, but that is not reality.....the reality is, you posted the link, you made the claim....

I continue to support President Biden.

President Biden lost popularity because he dealt with two intractable problems that lacked easy or obvious solutions.

The first was the War in Afghanistan. The fact that the Taliban could survive for twenty years demonstrated that it had popular support in Afghanistan. We could have remained in Afghanistan for another four years. The courageous decision was to leave immediately, get it over with, and take the consequences.

The second was COVID-19. Republicans try to have it both ways. First, they oppose efforts to fight the pandemic, such as vaccinations and the use of face masks. Then they blame Biden for the people who continue to be infected and killed by the virus.

When I voted for Joe Biden I did not expect him to work miracles. I expected him to make difficult decisions, and to demonstrate the gravitas so lacking in Trump. From Biden I have received what I voted for. :)

Exactly. And recognition that he doesn't need a second term to have fulfilled his purpose takes the wind out from under the vultures' wishful wing lift.

Yup, I clearly remember all those waving swastikas at his events and supporting him.

Oh no wait, that was trump rallies. Oops.:)

Wrongway is clearly getting dementia. He is constantly misusing words, and failing to comprehend what he reads, as this link clearly illustrates.

So given he is facing this mental acuity issue, I can over look him mixing up which countries ex-leader has the support of the white national's and Nazi's....
