What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

I’ve never actually thought of British coins as pretty, but now you’ve got me curious about Canadian coins!

You both have pretty coins compared to our American coins. They've gotten boring and ugly. The gold dollars are about the closest thing to "pretty" anymore.

I used to collect coins when I was a kid, I think I had some Canadian ones, but I’m not sure 🤔 I’ll have to google them if no one is offering pictures! :p

We have a lot of Loonie ($1), Toonie ($2), and quarter variants that are really well designed :)

I am going to leave pretty coins and beer right here while I go and check out what is in that van. Hopefully y is in the back of there and will feed me chocolate 😏

Sounds good! More beer for me!!

You go get the... "Chocolate" in the back of the van with y ;)

If you take the coins and beer with you, you just might get treated to a lollipop in the back of Y’s van!

I remember showing the new notes we have here to an American litster I was close to. He said “it’s not fair - your money is pretty! So colourful!” He was right, I hadn’t thought about it before.

Hmm do you have special edition coins like we get here on 50p?

I hate the new notes. They stick together and I have to keep rubbing them to get them to part. If you accidentally put one in the washing machine and then the tumble dryer, they shrink. Worst of all, you can’t write on them anymore. How am I supposed to pass my number to the cute guy in the coffee shop if I can’t write it on the money?

I hate that they hold whatever shape someone had it in! People who roll their money for instance, and then give it to you and all it does is roll back up 🙄

I recommend a notebook, or post it notes!

Thank you for the picture! Are you a coin collector?

The only thing better than watching the Olympics is watching it with my 16yo who is just as excited about the amazing performances by all the ice skaters as I am!!!
