Liberal hosts of "The View" pummeled Democrat Stacey Abrams on Monday for her response to a politically damaging image that showed her unmasked while posing with masked schoolchildren.

Abrams visited Glennwood Elementary School outside Atlanta. After her visit, the school's principal shared an image on social media showing Abrams sitting on the floor with students.

The contrast in the image was drastic: Abrams, a politicians who supports COVID restrictions, was not wearing a mask while every child in the photo was masked. In response to blowback, Abrams' campaign purged the image from social media and attempted to shift the narrative by invoking Black History Month.

"It is shameful that our opponents are using a Black History Month reading event for Georgia children as the impetus for a false political attack, and it is pitiful and predictable that our opponents continue to look for opportunities to distract from their failed records when it comes to protecting public health during the pandemic," a statement by her campaign read.

No, this is very much fair game. You can't be an advocate for rules and then just disregard them when you feel like it and still be taken seriously. That picture says that Stacey Abrams doesn't think you need a mask in schools. The picture conflicts with her words, and that is entirely her doing.

If I say you should do X and then you have photographic evidence of me not doing X, that makes me a hypocrite. She's trying to turn this around and weasel out of what is essentially a self inflicted wound.

There were a number of pictures taken of Abrams at that school besides the one that's been shown. All of them show the entire school, administrators and students, masked up and her the only one without a mask. Which makes her a liar.
