A lot of posters here seem to assume that. But why? It wouldn't seem to be in their interest.

Anyway, the Soroses and Buffetts are marginal and trivial compared to the Kochs and the Scaifes. Which party do you think gets most of the deep-pocket campaign donations? Who do you think funds the vast network of RW think-tanks, academic institutions, media outlets and astroturf organizations?

Why would they assume that? Because it fits their narrative that the Republicans are the party of the little guy. Say what you will about the GOP, they've done a brilliant job of marketing themselves as the exact opposite of what they really are.

Purchasing protection and political indulgences
since it is the politicians of the Left who love
them some regulation, of everything, and the
woke mob loves cancellation and boycott
and thus they engage in a Mafia-Kabuki
in which they control the government of the
Left while enduring their angry rhetoric
which is aimed at the people who vote
on and for the policies of the Left because
they want to be protected from evil business...

Love to see your list if the richest Americans and corporations
and who they donate to (and rhetorically support)...

They are on the side of the side currently writing the rules and regulations.

No...the focus of business is to sell products/services, make a profit for the owners or shareholders, or in the case of non-profits, the further their mission statement. Businesses are not political entities and will sell to whomever the see as their "market".

Most folks are not educated enough to know this and they are also constantly bombarded by political propaganda that attempts to tell them false information for a political purpose.

What is this, free verse?!

That's businesses. Business, as such, has no interest in any political system as such.

But businessmen are often political ideologues -- and very few are leftist ideologues.

A very good source here is Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right's Stealth Plan for America, by Nancy MacLean.

To the extent that some rich do donate to Democrats -- that's a sign, isn't it, that in their perception the Dems are not really leftists, i.e., no threat to their class interests.

Since when were leftist ever a threat to the elites class interest??

LOL

The capitalists lost power in the 1930s. Now the nation is controlled by government bureaucrats and corporate bureaucrats. Highly educated idiots. Their primary skill is avoiding blame.

Nevertheless, they do seem to run things a great deal much better than the "capitalists" in the old sense.

That's got nothing to do with my comment that you were responding to.

Good question. Maybe cuz they’re in bed with the LibTards and RINO’S? Regardless, THEY ARE!

And after they've driven off the farmer, they take over his house, begin to walk on their hind legs and smoke, just like the farmer.

The American Farmer is a rural socialist, suckling on the public teat every day. Take away one subsidy, one protective tarriff, one Farm Bill protection, and every last one of them screams blue murder in seeking more public welfare. ;)

Doesn't matter in the long run.

Humanity's current social evolution tree is leaning heavily towards a Judge Dredd-style mega-city future. Expansion is vertical, with the upper class residing at the tops of the structures. Land-based food sources will be grown in tanks or farmed in agri-tesseracts and anything coming from the oceans will be militarized.

The old-school farmlands will either be radioactive waste zones or open-air free-for-all dumps for criminals, freaks, misfits, homeless, etc...basically anyone who doesn't fit or has no place within the cities.

might wanna invest in cybernetic weapon modifications, it's gonna be the new indoor plumbing.

Since leftists have existed.

Oh that's what they talk about... what they really mean is THEY want to be the elites.

That's why they always end up that way.... with some animals more equal than others.

That would not make them any less of a threat to the class interest of the present elite.

Who are sometimes willing to donate to Democrats regardless. Apparently, Democrats are not leftists.

You will rarely see even a Soros or Buffett donating anything to, say, the CPUSA or the Socialist Party USA.
