I may not answer quickly, but I’m down to answer questions. :) Fire away!

What's your favorite comfort food?

What's a song you like from a genre you mostly dislike?

What were the best and worst first dates you've ever been on?

1. What’s your great thrill in life? The one big joy you’ll know you’ll get every time you do it see it etc

2. Are you spiritual or religious?

3. What are your pet peeves?

4. What are your Lit Mod pet peeves?

5. Would you rather have a tiny horse or a supersized duck?

1. My job allows me to recognize young people with some amazing recognition. Brings me to tears quite often.

2. Not at all

3. I am irrationally bothered by people using “loose” when they mean “lose” and “I” when they mean “me.” (Cliff’s notes: It’s not always “I.” Help with me, myself, and I)

4. I am a bit peeved when people complain about a post or people not caring about something bad that was posted, but they didn’t even report it. I also really hate it when certain spammers hit every single board with their identical post (looking at you muscle mom and always online lady, lol).

4 cont’d. I’m also trying to figure out how one particular poster always breaks the quote function when she quotes a post. Is Lit doing this? Does she delete the bracket? I actually spend some time thinking about this, lol.

5. Wow. This is actually pretty tough, but I think ducks may be fairly mean (like geese??) so I’m going with tiny horse.

1. Mashed potatoes

2. I’m not fond of rap, but I love Eminem. “Lose Yourself” is one of my favorite songs and always on my 5K playlist.

3. I have not dated a lot of people. I married my high school sweetheart, so my first real relationship was really long. I actually haven’t had a bad first date. I am also very easy to please (not an intentionally pun, lol) which probably helps with this.

I love these threads. Thanks for volunteering :)
1. What would you consider yourself an expert on?
2. The impossible question: what is your favorite book?
3. Which Litster would you like to get to know better?

1. I am an expert on teaching middle school kids how to write a research paper and how to present their research.

2. Truly impossible! Just one?!? I will go with the book that had a huge impact on me. It was required reading for a course and I had no idea what to expect, but it gutted me and I think about it from time to time even though it’s been several years since I’ve read it: The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy.

3. There are many people I look forward to seeing their posts and will click on a thread when I see their name as the last to post, but the first to come to mind is KatieDoes.

That is such an amazing book, and likewise, and thank you for reminding me that I should reread that.

I remember the first reread and they started alluding to the very bad thing that happens, and I was thinking about how I couldn’t remember the bad thing, but I remember it was actually really really bad. And then I got there. Agonizing. Such an unbelievably well-constructed story.

I’m glad another person here was familiar with it! :)

Me too; it make me super happy to see you mention it.

Top 5 favorite books?

What is your “go to”
move?

What is your best physical feature?

69, yay or nay?

Top 5 books (still hard to narrow down, and not including the already mentioned book):

1. White Oleander by Janet Filch
2. Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
3. The Outsiders by SE Hinton
4. Harry Potter series by JK Rowling (love the art, not the artist)
5. Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier

Go-to move? First of all, I initially read this as “go to movie” and very nearly told you “Dan in Real Life.” Sure am glad I double checked. Ummm… I am awkward as fuck and not very smooth. I guess a favorite is to kneel in front of him on the couch and do the look up and make eye contact thing. Works every time. :) (He also responds quite well to “You wanna…”)

Best physical feature: my hair. :)

69: That’s gonna be a no from me, dawg. I hate it. I want to be very present in what I am doing, and I need to be relaxed if I’m on the receiving end of the action. I also greatly prefer to give than to receive.

A question I should ask: How is the PG the same/different from BDSM?

A question I shouldn’t ask: Is that profile pic coming back?

Would my friendly neighborhood mod be referring to me for number 4? I swears it; I am innocent, I don't know why that kept happening....but I have reformed lately and put my response last..xoxo

The boards are different, not just the pacing of the boards although that is the most immediately noticeable difference. But they have some things in common. Both have close knit groups, both have a lot of lurkers. The BDSM forum feels more comfortable to me because I’ve been posting there over a decade. I think both groups are intimidating to newcomers, but for different reasons. The BDSM forum is intimidating because of the content and people feeling nervous about asking questions, and heaven forbid they mention 50 Shades of Grey. The PG is hard to get in, seems to be hard to get noticed; the game threads go fast and it’s easy to get skipped, things like that.

As for your second question, most definitely. I took it down because of a creepy poster. I’ll put something similar back up before too long. :)

Yes! :heart::heart:

I figured it was the site. There have been periods where it happened briefly to a lot of people all at once, but it was happening to you soooo much!

Incidentally, both boards have the constantly recurring pineapple on pizza debates.

Personal(ish): Have you ever let lit life affect your real life more than you felt comfortable with?

Lit: Do you ever feel conflicted as both a contributor and a mod on some threads?

Sexy: what’s the arousing thing you’ve seen/read/done/had done to you that wasn’t primarily sexual?

Random: Have you ever eaten the tip off of a strawberry then eaten the rest after dipping it in freshly ground black pepper?

Personal(ish): Yes 100%. I have made big mistakes here and it certainly affected my real life. Other than trusting a handful of people I shouldn’t have trusted (years ago, not PG related), I don’t have any regrets, though. Our experiences, including mistakes, make us who we are.

Lit: Oh I’m much snarkier than I come across. There are times when I hold my tongue and don’t make the comment because I value the general opinion that I am fair. (I don’t hold back for the clear and obvious asshats, though).

Sexy: Head massages - one of my most favorite things in the world

Random: absolutely not

Seeing as you are tall, have you ever dated a shorter Man? If yes, how was the experience?

Let's put the pineapple discussion to rest once and for all. Since you are the closest thing to a person of authority here, you get final say, so
Death penalty for those that put pineapple on pizza or just life sentence?

Is that your natural hair color? And the natural follow up question:
Does the carpet match the curtains?

Who suggested the tarantula? Was anyone opposed? How were they convinced? Has the tarantula ever gotten loose?

Finally, who was the biggest asshole you ever had to deal with here as a mod or a poster?

Random: if you like strawberries and you like black pepper try it. You’d be surprised. If you like neither there’s no saving you!

Where is you're favorite place to visit?

What/where is your dream vacation? Have you been their?

Do you have a bucket list? What's number one?

What is your favorite Lit topic or thread too read?

I may not answer quickly, but I’m down to answer questions. :) Fire away!

What are the top five times on your life’s highlight reel?

What are you top Lit memorable moments?

Lifetime highlight reel? Wow, that's tough... these are in chronological order, not order of significance. Also, I feel like on different days, I may list different things. Here are 5 significant moments/events.

1. I had a really great athletic achievement in high school. One particular cross-country race where I set a PR and was the runner who earned the points we needed to qualify for Regionals, which was a big deal for our team.

2 & 3 Births of my children

4. Road trip with my grandfather that was fairly late in his life. It was the only time we traveled just the two of us.

5. Won a volunteer award at an international event. That was pretty amazing.

Top Lit Moments:

Hmmm... I have some pretty great memories that in retrospect weren't that great, if that makes sense. I'll go with:

1. Quoll made a spotlight thread for me in the How To. (It's hard to find now because my account was frogged, something I really regret). But, Quoll was a Litster I loved very much, just this amazing guy, and I was just becoming a more active poster and I felt very included and welcomed. The How To was livelier back then. (If you're curious, Spotlight on JtohisPB, but it is tough to read because my replies were nuked. Many were quoted, though.)

2. I've met a dozen or so people from Lit, and I only regret meeting two of them lol. Lunch with Bailadora several years ago was a blast!

3. Almost everything that had to do with a poster named rimmy would be on my Lit highlight reel.

4. I've made several friends on the site that I talk to frequently - mostly via social media, but I know them as well as or better than other friends. The real people here are very much worth the occasional sludgy experiences.

5. As a mod, I have had many opportunities to help people with things they cannot do (deleting photos from closed threads, correcting spelling errors in thread titles, removing their posts and pics when others quote them...and so on). These little things really help people some times and it makes it worth it.

6. Getting reaquainted with a friend recently (not being more specific, but I hope you know who you are )

- rain or shine

Carrots
Peonies
Crisps (are these fries or chips? I'm choosing them over chocolate, either way, though)
