Lit Personals Board

I see it man! This gave me a laugh...Of course, that is the minority here, but is some....
I hope I do not get hate here because I am about to make a super general statement that could never come close to covering the varied personalities on this site....
That is a given!
Life is hard when one is trying to be the elephant among the chickens and nobody agrees that you are the elephant. This makes no sense but is a saying in my family.
Some of my family work with large animals. When the rescuers can not find an elephant companion, they will put some chickens in with him. This gives the elephant friends that he can easily dominate and boss around, which helps his outlook, life span and enrichment. We all know it is a set up...But elephants are endangered...
Take what you will from this.
Thanks for the chuckle.

QUOTE=Capcanuck;94718963]I know I'm doing it too, but the Personals board is basically this:

Too damn true! The only thing missing from the Simpsons clip to make it realistically echo Lit. personals is that a large proportion of the guys should be wearing dresses and make-up and be trying to con the others...

Hilarious and oh so true.

The patrolling "Freds in frocks" trolls on Lit., each with 1001 AEs (God knows, they must spend half their waking hours inventing new email accounts for the sole purpose) represent the numero uno bad feature of the site and nothing has ever been done about it.

Thanks to the OP for the amusing analogy. A good find. It should be compulsory viewing for each new member, complete with health warning!

Keep hope, friend. And there are real woman on here. We are just overwhelmed with PMs. I know before I shut my inbox mostly, I was too busy writing polite replies to even post....
In this story, the elephant is the cock. It only applied to some very certain people on this site.

There must be possible "Hey, Nice cock!" joke to end that animal rescue story. Gimmie a few minutes I can work with it. We all need a little bit of hope in a world of shrinking possibilities.

.

I wonder what a real woman's reaction would be, after writing "polite replies" to the men who had approached her, to learning that half of them were busy under other aliases pretending to be little girlies and approaching other men.

Therein lies the problem.

Rem acu tetigisti.

The overwhelming Literotica problem that dare not speak its name, causing far more trouble than all the other alleged nuisances put together.

There are real and genuine women on here and they are not difficult to find or indeed talk to.

Real in the sense that they identify as female
Genuine in that they have unmet sexual needs and desires just as men do
Not difficult to find because despite being overwhelmed in number by men, they have unmet sexual needs and desires that they want filled just as men do
And easy to talk to in that they are not an alien species. They are people. Just people like everyone else. Just people who have unmet needs and desires…

Put a little effort into trying to understand what those needs and desires are, and then seeing whether they match your own will get you a long way to finding out if you “click” or not.

Best of luck to all, male, female, something in between, neither, old, young.

They are called Freds in Frocks. We all know. There is my reaction. They more you chat, the more the Freds fall away because they are only here for cyber sex.

I took an interest in Literotica personals not expecting the foundational dynamics to be materially different than any other online personals venue. My hope, however was that -- given the narrative nature of the site overall -- the baseline quality of the participants would be higher.

I haven't been disappointed yet.

I think that is a good thing? At least they are entertaining.... and boy, it gets...personal.;)

Which is a comment either on your standards or the quality of the "other personals venues".

Mind you, never mind quality, if you're looking for a high quantity of dictatorial and greatly subjective censorship by so-called "moderators", this is certainly the place to come. It's amusing to see these individuals parading their own prejudices, almost always without realising it, in their self-important strutting...

The rules of this website are very clear. There is nothing arbitrary about them. Enforcement is NOT about the mods making arbitrary choices. It is about whether you were reported for violating the rules. At that time, the mods will look at everything available to them...which is a lot...and decisions will be made. People need to stop blaming the mods for doing their unpaid job and look in the mirror. If you were not reported...the likelihood of mod finding a violation of website rules is next to zero.

I'm glad that my mildly self-depricating post is leading to some actual conversation. Of course ANY place where people mingle to try and meet some needs is going to be over represented by men, we are told it's what we deserve after all 🙄🙄🙄🙄, but I'm disheartened by these fraudsters on here too. I'm seen just how vicious some posters can be, but, ugh.
This is a place where we can cut loose a bit, yes, but some people take it too far.

You seem to be under the delusional impression that mods hereabouts are supremely civic-minded, totally rational and objective individuals, taking "decisions" (as if) after careful consideration of all the possibilities.

Looking for sympathy and admiration for the "unpaid" bit, are we? Most vigilantes are unpaid, actually. One usually doesn't need to pay these types to have them forming a queue at the door.

Heaven forfend that the real reasons as to why these worthies take up their oh-so-heavy burden should ever penetrate through to your awareness...

Thank you for proving my point. It really shouldn't be that easy

A "point" which exists purely in the furthest-flung reaches of its inventor's imagination...

Your experience on Lit is what you create. You obviously created a shitty experience for someone...they reported you. The mods looked at your PMs...and found reason enough to ban you. Now here you are, using a different alt. Whose fault is that?

Oh dear.

The talk is of "faults", is it? Fine, let us continue in that vein.

You do not come even remotely close to realising the jaw-droppingly casual way in which you and others like you routinely base your "points" on unfounded, self-serving assumptions, do you?

OK, let me put it another way for the "hard of understanding": if you are unable to use logic and a critical, open-minded approach to matters, rather than this pathetic adherence to a biased narrative which supports only your own prejudiced take, it might simply be better to row back a bit on the gratuitous advice you feel you just have to dispense to others... like myself, they will probably see through such paper thin stuff...
