Cardi B awarded over £2m in damages in defamation case win

Cardi B has been awarded over £2 million in damages after winning a defamation lawsuit against a YouTuber.

The rapper and songwriter, known for songs including I Like It, Money and WAP, was subjected to a "malicious campaign" of false accusations by Latasha Kebe, known online as Tasha K.


Musical talent will always triumph.

Had many an evening on Southport beach with Cardi playing in the background as scousers in Vectras hoon up and down the sun kissed sands. Seems to be some kind of safety issue though with the Cars often catching fire just as the police arrive to check everyone is having fun.
 
If I knew who Card B is, this might mean more.

But I am pleased that a YouTube troll has been punished for a campaign of abuse. Too many people think that attacking someone else on the net has no consequences.

Never heard a tune or whatever she does, no clue as to her style. Have seen a few pictures, don't care for her at all, but she did something recently ....

Apparently she's a (c)rapper and they're not generally real people. Usually low life gang bangers and other thugs, many of which end up getting shot or jailed for shooting other (c)rappers.
 
(c)rap is crap. Real people don't do that or pay to hear gang garbage intended for thugs and punks and other human trash.

I'm far too old. Any music since the 1970s doesn't register with me. I know artists from the 1920s better than from the 1990s or later.
 
And unless the person she has won the suit against is rich, she will never see a penny of the two million pounds and she will be paying her legal fees too boot.

So it was just a publicity stunt when all else is said and done.
