There is only one reason why this pandemic is so politicized

Trump was counting on a low jobless rate to propel him to re-election. Faced with a pandemic that would necessarily require job-killing measures to contain it, he reacted, as he usually does, like a toddler, and denied the existence of the problem. Which made such denial an article of faith among the MAGA crowd. Which it has remained ever since.

Without Trump, the pandemic never would have been politicized. Was the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 ever politicized like this?!

Pretty much did himself in...he could have done infrastructure...flubbed it.

Well, it's easy to talk about Infrastructure Week, but he didn't want to hike taxes to pay for it all.

Exactly...just like buy a house...there is always a down payment, then monthly payments of principal.and interest. Economics 101.

The GOP skipped that class

But really, without Trump taking that position, hardly anybody would be complaining about mask mandates, etc., and those who do would not be taken seriously even by the RW.

The truth is the pandemic was politicized by the left in hopes of putting the country on a path to totalitarian governance. Then typically they project the blame for the resulting fiasco onto their political enemies through tools like our beloved Peck.:D

The lens through which you view the world is staunchly orange.

The only idea that the Present with no IDuh's supporters have is Orange Man Bad.

Pretty much. Every thing else they've put forth are nothing more than thinly veiled attempts to take total control of everyone's lives.................except their own of course.

They're being handled by a slew of people with pop culture influence
who believe fervently in the concept of rules for thee, but not for me...

It's what you get when you put government expertise
in charge of public school indoctrination.
That's what infantilizes them...

:(

Now with the mask mandate terror campaign,
we're introducing new mental heath problems.

Ya know, there is a blessing in this Wuhan Flu crap. It's exposed the "progressives" for what they are.

What I'm waiting for now is for them to unveil their Plan 'B'. The "that wasn't what we meant" phase of their back pedaling.

LOL....Trump wasn't the one that tried to go all Stalin on us and lock down the country forever, issuing mandates galore.

THAT is what politicized the COFEEFEE "pandemic", leftist authoritarianism and power grabbing.

You people use just use orange man bad as a standard deflection for the any criticism of the worst, most unamerican president in our history.

Shithead knew that to be a responsible president would require taking responsibility and doing work two things he has never done in his life. So, he tried to deny and push off responsibility onto the governors.

Trump was down playing it. Nothing wrong with that. You don't want to create a panic. Since Trump was for downplaying it, Dems had to be the opposite and made it seem it was the end of the world. Once they were in control, we had to cover our faces so they could cover their ass Now they can't ignore the fact that the science says they were wrong and overreacted
